Now I unfortunately stopped working out and i finally got back into it. For those who weight lift, have you found a plan that allows you to get ripped in about 1 year (I mean cut for chest, little for the arms, stand-out abs etc..)?

I can only manage about 3 times a week (4 if I can manage friday properly) at most. I am not looking for any of those P90x videos cuz I don't have the time for that stuff

Starting Strength by Mark Rippetoe works wonders. Do a google search. I believe the book is out there on torrents as well.

How strict is the diet? Is there options in the diet such as optional meals or it must be that diet exactly?

sounds like all you want is a beach body

p90x, yea it works, no it wont get you huge

and if you dont have time for p90x, you dont have time for bodybuilding, it is a lifelong commitment

it is a lifelong commitment

+1

Bodybuilding is a lifestyle that you need to enjoy. It takes alot of dedication and patience. The plan should be work hard, eat healthy and never give up. If you stick to those rules you will be on the right track to achieve your goals.

You have to follow a pretty strict diet if you want to get the things you are wishing to have. It sucks and I can't tell you how sick of eating grilled chicken breast and fish for the past 6 months but I'm quite happy with my progress and results. I go to the gym everyday after work for 1.5 hours each time doing about an hour of free weights targeting different parts of my body on each day and about 20 minutes of cardio on the treadmill or elliptical machine. The only thing I find now when I do cheat on the weekends that I have no problem maintaining my weight or heck even losing some weight the day after I ate really bad.

If you are free weight training everyday you are over training yourself.Slow down, take a break, give your body time to recover.

I train different body parts each day so I think it's alright. I agree about giving my body time to recover though, thanks.

In addition to the advice others have given, you will have to diet to achieve goals. Not sure what your situation is so I can't say what direction you should take.

You are probably hitting the same muscle without realizing it.As an example when doing chest and shoulders you are also using your triceps.Even at five days a week there are not enough individual body parts to hit without overlapping.
