Canadian Tire: $31.something

Oh here: http://www.canadiantire.ca/browse/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=84552444328 6465&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=1408474396672234&bmUID=1234201036849

I'd recommend the one from walmart, I think it's a bit larger, and has 6 interlocking mats. Go check it out. you'll find it near the treadmills and elliptical trainers.

Do yourself a favour and spend a few extra bucks on horse stall mats (http://www.stallmats.com/products-ranch/mats-horse.htm).

Instead of foam, they're rubber (1/2" to 3/4" thick) and much more durable. The cuts are pretty precise, so you can just lay a couple side by side, but if you want, you can always pay a bit more and get them interlocking. iirc, I bought a couple 4x6' pieces of 3/4" rubber for $60 each from Chambers and Cooke in Markham. Just remember to wash them and leave them outside for a few days to get rid of the rubber smell.

Best advice Ever!!!! I use these and you save a ton compared to conventional mats.Dont bother with the flimsy foam ,it will rip and pose a safety issue after a while.

Do you think the mat will fit in the back of a small car(Chevrolet Cavalier)? I'm heading to the place next week to pick one up but that car is my only transportation.

Or head down the automotive section and pick up the 4 interlocking mats for $10. It's identical except for packaging.

Sorry, didn't check back on this thread until now.

Yeah, it should fit easily. I rolled up 2 of them and fit them in a Corolla.

Thanks! I didn't end up going tho. I've been using this old rug as a temporary replacement, worked decent for deadlift.

I might grab it by the end of the summer. In winter my plates get freezing cold because they sit right on the concrete.

So should I inquire about a group discount?
Anyone interested?

I'm in.

But how is this gonna work out tho? Unless someone can grab a truckload of mats from them. Can't imagine why anyone would do that:twisted:

Just bought some for my basement from Canadiantire, $9.99. I leave the weights on the mat as I have no weight rack and they leave am imprint but they fluff up in time. Sometimes I drop the weights after a forced rep and they don't rip to my surprise. I do try to take care of them though as there is no telling when they will go on sale again.
