i bought a box of mini-wheats marked that it contained an indiana jones spoon inside, but after eating the cereal, there is no spoon in the box. unless i mistakenly ate it, then it did not come with one. i am wondering what recourse (if any), i can take? thanks

**UPDATE**

i was telling my fiance about my predicament, and she informed that she through the spoon out.

now, the question is, should i go rooting through the garbage to find it?? thanks in advance for your constructive opinions

Sue for pain and suffering as well as humiliation. The minimum you should sue for is eleventy-bazillion dollars.

Hmm... can i fart in your cereal? WTF is this thread!?

Are you engaged to a Cabbage Patch girl? Who cares about a plastic spoon? Doyou only eat breakfast when there's a toy inside, why couldn't you get another box? =P

It's the principle of the matter people. Yes, it seems kind of silly to be all up in arms about losing a spoon, but people go out of their way to PM and save cents on the dollar here on RFD.

Best to give the # on the box a call, I am SURE they will send you out something for your troubles.

Dump the fiance. If she's gonna throw out your souvenir spoon from the Mini-Wheats now, what sort of control do you think she's going to try holding over you when you're married? Sheesh! Imagine what she'll do to your porn collection!!!

Oh...one more thing...it's "threw", not "through"...

I am trying to figure out if the OP was legitimatly concerned about the situation or was just looking for a laugh and some attention because I can't see a mature reasonable adult getting so bent out of shape about a novelty spoon that they feel the need to rant to the entire world or at least all members of RFDs about it. I don't mean to sound rude but get a life.

C'mon people, take this seriously... the OP is obviously distraught about this incident. :D

My suggestion (because you know every company is perfect and no one makes mistakes) is to watch the toilet carefully before you flush... it's gotta be comin' out soon!

edit: didn't see your update... wow, that just saved you a lot of pain and toilet watching!

i really thought that it didn't come in the box, and she really threw it out without telling me.

but yeah, i thought it would be sort of funny to post it, as it is really not much more ridiculous than more 'serious' posts about people trying to save a few cents

What everyone doesn't understand is that it is a FRICKIN SWEET SPOON. Look at it! It has a faux stone handle! Yes I said a handle, not a flat piece of plastic or metal for wussy dainty hands, a honest to god round handle for meaty palms! It has hieroglyphics and $hit, so you know I be all mystical! It has a carving of a head.....ON BOTH SIDES OF THE HANDLE! Can you show me a spoon with a carving??? It has a skull and aliens and $hit on the spoon itself, you gotta know that's bada$$! And the best part, it FREAKING LIGHTS UP! Now you can eat your cereal......IN THE FRICKING DARK! How can this spoon get any better? THERE ARE THREE TO COLLECT! Don't feel like eating no Miniwheats in the dark with a yellow spoon? BAM SWITCH TO A RED SPOON! IN YO FACE RFD'ERS!

Sure, but not only would he be out a spoon, he'd also be out the occasional fork too.
