If i were to buy a Ps3 at Bestbuy/FutureShop or any other stores with their gift card would I have to pay tax too?
Example Ps3 for 399.99 would that be the price i am paying with gift card or it's 399.99 + tax

of course you do...what a silly question.
If you didnt pay tax, then why would anybody pay wish cash, when they can just buy gift card 1 minute prior to buying their item?

Yes, you still need to. It's the law to pay tax...:razz::razz:

There would not have been tax charged on the gift card purchase and the government always wants their cut so all applicable taxes will be charged on whatever is purchased with the gift card.

I don't think you do. When you purchased the gift card, you already paid the taxes.

Gift cards are not merchandise - they are treated as cash, therefore there is no tax paid.
