Visit www.zip.ca , click on "Free Trial" and enter code : ZipFriend

This is for a one month free trial with no strings attached it says.

I currently use zip.ca and love it.

Enjoy :)

Appreciate the link, do you know if this works for people who have done the 2 week trial before in the past?

Anyone tried it before?
Any problem if I cancel before the end of free trial?

I did a free trial last year and did not have any problems with cancelling before the end of the trial. They ask for a credit card number during sign-up. I returned all the disks within the time allotted and I was never charged.

Cancelling was easy too, I did it online. I think it's worth trying out.

don't think they allow trials for those who already have an account with them, as i have tried new 2-week trials with them registered with same mailing address, they would decline your trial.

it gives me the same offers both with and without the code.

whats the difference with entering the "ZipFriend" code?

I've signed up for a trial before and never tried renting after reaing some of the comments online about them... lots of disc reported missing even when the user returned it and such

I also had a few issue with them not putting me as their trial client and billed me.. it eventually credited me back, but it was not worth the effort.

I'm still on their mailing list even though I told them to take all my information off their record when I removed the account..

I just came here to post this! Heh.

I love Zip.ca and have never had any problems at all with them. I did read a lot of negative stories online but my experience has been entirely positive. Great way to get obscure films and Blu-Ray flicks. Just wish they did games too.

The same thing happened with me when I tried to get a 1 month trial with the Telus Perks code a while back, it only gave me 2 weeks-- the code didn't make any difference.

I was a member for about 4 months. Never had a single problem with them.
...and, as navsimpson says, zip is a great place to find those hard-to-find obscure films...

Is there any pricing difference between DVD and Blu-Ray? If I'm on the 24.95/m plan that says "3 DVDs at a time" or whatever, that can also mean Blu-Ray right? Because I have no interest in renting DVDs.

I was able to get the Band of Brothers series (AWESOME !!) in the two weeks trial too.

They will decline your free trial if you got your free trail period before, they track the shipping address + the name of the credit card I beleive. I've tried before and they declined me because I already have my free trial period last time

Until last year, I moved to a new address, I sucessfully get my free trial once again. :cheesygri

enter zip friend as the code, then you will have 4 options to pick from on the following page, I chose redeem promo code and typed zipfriend AGAIN, choose your account type (I chose 3 DVDs at a time), then it says you've signed up for FREETRIAL, but when you go to your account info, it doesn't indicate it's a one month trial...

to make sure it's a one month trial, after you sign up, go to help, and at the top menu click "contact support" (I forget exactly what the label is, but it's to the left of the menu item "my questions") and write a message to zip saying that you signed up for a one month trial, but your account doesn't reflect this. they will send a message back to you the next day saying that "we checked your account and yes you won't be billed until next month"

If you don't want the service, make sure you cancel the service a couple days before one month from when you signed up (it's easy, there is a cancel button in your account info)

If you like the service, keep it!

I don't know why their one month trial thing doesn't show up in your account, but it DOES work, but DO SEND THEM that support message so there is no question that you are on the free trial.
