Is this a great movie or is it a great movie? I don't know how many people have seen this classic but when it first came out, I was in high school and didn't fully understand the gravity of the message it's conveying. I'm now 31 and now and I can fully see and appreciate it so much more. If you get a chance to see it, I highly encourage you to watch it. It resonates with what is wrong with society today.

The part where he freaks out in the fast food restaurant is my favorite.

I haven't seen this in at least 7-10 years but I remember loving it when I saw it. The scene with the Nazi and being denied breakfast fast food are strongly etched in my mind.

Couple of interesting facts:

It was filmed during the L.A. riots of 1992.
D-Fens never uses the same weapon twice (aside from the baseball bat).

Good movie, but Douglas' best movie is Black Rain.

it's a great movie, but the only dvd release (that I know of) only has 2.0 stereo sound.

I catch it every time its on, a great movie. It was on TCM or AMC or something just a bit ago.

MORE IMPORTANTLY, comes out on blu-ray and being re-released on DVD (this time in 5.1 one would assume) in May.
