I want to be the first to congratulate George St. Pierre for his dominate performance over Bj Penn. Totally Mind-blowing, unbelievable display of athleticism, strong usage of his undeniable striking ability and above all, his heart of a champion is unmatched!

GSP vs Alves should be interesting...

it's nice you want to congratulate him and I'm sure he'll never see it on RFD, but you probably should have done it in the MMA thread.

GSP dominated someone who was at least 25lbs less his weight (not the weigh in), actual weight I mean.

Penn had short man syndrome where he thought he can take on bigger guys and win, that was his weakness. Penn should stay in his own weight division. 155 i think.

It will be interesting to see GSP vs A.Silva where in this case GSP is the small guy...

The problem for Penn is that at 155 he is a beast and probably does not see a challenge for him. That is why he wanted to make the jump to 170 again to challenge himself. It is respectable, but I wonder what he will do now because he will continue to destroy dudes at 155 but won't have anywhere to go.

Penn could be a top fighter at 170 but GSP is way to strong for him and his wrestling and GnP looks to be overwhelming. Penn has faught against bigger guys than GSP and can hang which is respectable but unfortunately we wont get to see him hold 2 titles in 2 classes which would have been sweet.

#1 P4P fighter is very debateable. GSP is for sure on the list of canidates but IDK if I would put him ahead of A. Silva and Fedor. Fedor has been undefeated his whole career (1 loss due to bad reffing which he avanged very quickly). It would make for a good debate.

GSP is still stronger and more built then Silva. Silva is a crazy striker but has no wrestling or take-down strength.

Silva will have a big reach/height advantage, and GSP has never had to fight against that before, so it could be very tough for GSP to close in without taking damage or risking a KO. I can't imagine GSP outstriking Silva.

I have to say, though, it was impressive watching GSP spar with Evans on UFC primetime. He did not look out of place against a guy two weight classes above him.

you smoking crack? 25 lbs is A LOT. gsp said he was walking into the octagon at about 187... i am not even sure it is physically possible to gain 25 lbs (even if it is water weight) overnight without damage to organs and brain

Whos smoking crack? At the weigh in on Friday GSP was 170 and you said he was walking into the Octagon at 187. That is 17lbs gain in one day.

Penn weigh was 168 but his natural weight probably 155-160.

Do the math. 1+1=3 right
