Oh don't hate, you know it's going to do well because of all the original fanboys out there.

I thought they hired some skinny 2nd rate actor to play Vin Diesel at the start of that trailer. Looks ok. If the original cast is back, it has some potential but who knows; those actors haven't had a lot of movies as of late and are probably doing it for the quick income.

I'm guilty of enjoying parts 1 and 2 (not 3).
This looks like it could fill in the spring months nicely.

i've enjoyed the first 3 so far.. though i didn't really like the 3rd (mostly because of the casting)

now that the original cast is back i'll probably go watch it in theaters :cheesygri

I think the first one was great at the time when it came out and I know it inspired so many wannabe street racers with their mom's 4 door civics. The second one was kind of dumb with crappy cars and the third one had the best driving scenes because of the drifting which were unrealistic at times.

I hope this 4th installment will bring the franchise back to its roots. I still remember reading about Vin Diesel when they were coming out with the sequel and how he wanted so much money because he thought he was going to be the next 007 only to be replaced by Ice Cube (lol) in the sequel of XXX.

There is already a thread about this:

I personally didn't like the first one too much so hopefully they won't make this a real sequel to the first one and dis-regard the rest... :)

I will be more happy if they include different kinds of racing instead of just the drag racing in part 1.

The one with the CGI cars was the worst (I think it was the second one). I can't believe they had to CG cars.

the third was the worst, Tokyo drift. The first was the best and this new one looks promising with the original cast being in it. I found the second one to be alright.

Well I guess you guys may hate this one because it has the same director as the 3rd movie. Justin Lin directed Better Luck Tomorrow, btw - which I thought was pretty good.

Im actually quite excited for this f&f for some reason even with the bad plot, acting, etc. I dont know what it is that keeps me comming back for more.

3rd one was just out there, it was so random. It really didnt tie into the first two. I think in this new movie, even though its the same director he has a different cast. But since the first one was such an unexpected success its really difficult to follow up sequels which are just as good
