Bump for a great discount on New York Flights!

Air Canada has no priority with the NY Port Authority. When the NY airports (LGA, EWR, JFK) get busy, they will cancel AC flights. AC will then consolidate their future flights... and this works in their favor. Trust me, this happened to me 4 times in a two week period last month. Wasted about 30 hours in delays and cancelations.

When flying to NY, I will use and airline that has a NY hub.

When going to NYC with AC, I usually fly in the late morning and early afternoon flights, they are not only cheaper but the chances of delays with those ones are less. I avoid the early morning ones and the late evening ones at all costs. The same applies with other airlines operating the same routes.

AC 710,712,714,716 usually have pretty good track records from my experience. When there is a storm I find AC 712 and AC714 will usually go as scheduled or with a slight delay, as they are the ones that usually pick up the slack from the earlier delayed flights.

Comming from Laguardia, AC 711,713,715 are pretty reliable as well. Again avoiding the early morning and late evening flights.

Most likley, otherwise why would the NY Port Authority will cancel flights for no reason.

I just booked a one-way flight to new york in march, and with the 15% off code, got it for $69 + tax ($144 total)! This is the lowest I've seen for a NY flight!

It's funny how excited you are to pay $144 one-way from YYZ to NYC when you can get a return flight from Buffalo, NY to NYC for approx. $155 or cheaper. I just booked for a weekend in mid-March at this price.

Not only the weather according to the rental car guy I spoke with in Newark... said that the airports will over-schedule arrivals and then cancel flights when they cannot handle the volume. He said this was a common thing in Newark.

The first time they canceled on me it was not snowing. The second time it was snowing.
