I turned it off after the first 2 sets and came back to watch in the 4th, when I knew Fed would have it in 5 sets.

I don't believe Fed has a 3-0 h2h against Del Potro...

The folly of spectators is they assume extreme consistency in athletes.

Anyone watching Roddick-Djoker.

That 7th game in the 2nd set was ridiculous with all that netplay. And Roddick finally broke Djoker...

Djoker calling time out again, dirty, dirty, dirty...

Djoker's starting to fade.... he looked so worn out eating that banana during the changeover. He and Murray lack that Nadal/Federer level of fitness. This could all be over in half an hour.

I'm watching a commentary free stream of the match.... I can only imagine Brad Gilbert bragging about his past coaching with Andy on the ESPN feed....

N.B... and the pussy retired! He's going to lose a ton of ranking points as last yr's champion.

i think it's safe to say federer is back, that was a massacre :cheesygri

and now he gets to play roddick in the semis, so it should be easy to get to the finals.

Who on Earth is this guy?

Federer totally massacred Del Potro, who might as well have been sitting in the audience and sipping a beer.

The match with Roddick should be interesting. This Roddick is looking a lot more menacing that what we have been accustomed to seeing in the last few years. However, I don't think he has what it takes to take down Federer.

Nadal on the other hand....he looks unstoppable.

Man Federer delivered 2 bagels to Petro who was play very well up until that match. It was like a practice match for him... so sick. I think he'll destroy Roddick as in GS... Roddick chokes... although he managed to beat djoker but djoker quits after a cough. Nadal looks tough as well, and of course the dark horse Verdasco looking very very solid after taking out player to beat, Murray.

I've always been a Fed fan, great versitility in his game and he really respects everyone on and off the court. -sg

Be thankful that you had the commentary off. Brad Gilbert was, and still is, annoying. He went as far as saying Roddick showed a lot of class in this win; that he didn't jump up and down celebrating for the win, no excessive celebration, blah blah blah. C'mon, anyone with half a brain wouldn't do that.

I hope he can fend off Nadal for a few more titles to break the record.

Just watched it, nah just spoke his mind there i think. Although he's probably pretty happy he's playing roddick with his current head2head record to roddick compared to djoker.

predictions...

Federer vs Roddick = 67 63 62 76 federer winner

QF Nadal vs Simon = 63 62 63 nadal (simon doesn't have enough weapons to hurt nadal)

QF Tsonga vs Verdasco = 57 63 63 46 10-8 Tsonga :) tough match here

Djokovic can call himself Djoquitter. What an embarrassment to the sport. He has a habit of feigning an injury when he's about to lose.

I think Federer said something about being happy to play Roddick because he was "his age: everyone else is so young."

(Federer is 27, Roddick 26?)
