Costco.ca has the Nordictrack 1500 treadmill for $1349, thats $250 more than what the cost is instore. I was hoping Costco.ca would have offered it on the website for same price. Is this a good treadmill?

A treadmill is big and heavy; it won't be cheap to courier it to you (though $250 seems a bit steep).

Note with the online purchase from Costco, its for curbside delivery, not inside your house. Check out the size/weight of the boxes in store before purchasing if possible to make sure you have a way to move it.

I wound up purchasing from Canadian Tire, since they would deliver inside the house, and I needed to get it to the basement. Took 3 of us to carry the box on the stairs.

Oh, and be VERY skeptical of online treadmill review sites. they are mostly scam sites set up by dealers. Runnersworld.com forums is a good place to ask/research models, I THINK the one you're looking at is very good, but I'd check the exact model there.

That model is also sold as a Reebok T12.80 Commercial Trainer (http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/view.2/app.detail/params.CM_SCID.coll.item.F188428.desc.Reebok-T1280-Commercial-Trainer). I don't remember the name of the manufacturer off-hand, but NordicTrack and Reebok are two of their brand names.

Thank you! Takes that off my mind now.

It is a gouge.Costco has other treadmills online that are the same price in store.
Look on the american costco site. The same treadmill is 899.00 . I don't think the current exchange is 45 %. Gouge. Buy it in store.

its the damn heaviest thing ive ever had to move in my life. youll need a football team to move it up--down a stairwell.
(i had my dad helping me, wouldve been easier with a third person :D)

its great...but be sure you want it, because its going to be bi*ch taking it back to the store.

This is supposed to be the best buy treadmill to own, can anyone that is used to a commercial treadmill in a gym, share your experience and opinion of this 1500 Commerical at home, is it as sturdy as a gym machine? doesn't wobble at all?

Its $250 more than in store because shipping & handling to your door is included and a treadmill like that is DAMN LARGE and heavy.

You may want to check out a Sears Outlet store. I bought our NordicTrack C2300 from the a few years ago for a fantastic price. It has been absolutely perfect and gets used all the time at home.

It was a bugger to move though, I did it myself and it wasn't fun at all. I am moving March 1st and I dread having to move it again, although this time I will have proper dollies etc...

Good luck with your decision, that looks like an excellent treadmill.

I just bought this treadmill from Costco last week (in store). As other posters mentioned, it is very big and in one box. It barely fit in my vehicle (SUV) so take measurements. It took a friend and my wife to help me get the deck downstairs. I've run on it four times so far and I think it's great. I run regularly on a high end treadmill at the gym (True model with 23"x63" running surface and 6HP motor), but this NordicTrack holds up pretty well. The cushioning is probably better than the True. It's very stable even when using the incline. The only thing I notice is when changing speeds, the motor seems to lag a bit whereas the True responds instantly. It should for a $6K treadmill. Although it does fold, it still takes up a lot of room when folded.

Hope this helps.

Is this a good treadmill?

It would appear to be.

The Treadmill Doctor website ranked this Nordictrack 1500 model a ' Best Buy ' for it's price point last year and gave it a score of 7.03 / 10 - and generally speaking, the reviews on the Treadmill Doctor website tend to be pretty blunt and objective IMO, so a score of 7+ isn't bad.
