In my opinion, no.
Rush Hour isn't either.

I believe Will Smith drop's the F bomb at one point from what I remember seeing in theatres.
Glad my friend let me in to see this for free because it definitely was an atrocious film.

It has a small amount of profanity, but nothing an 8 year old won't hear in other places.

I think it's fine, but I don't think a bit of profanity is really a big deal. I also don't think non-sexual nudity is a big deal either.

I'm thinking OP hasn't seen the movie either....

I think it's ok. Just a bit of swearing from what I remember. Would be pretty entertaining for kids. I've seen much worse when I was 8.
At least it won't give your kids nightmares.

Too much swearing for kids and not that great a movie anyways!

Unless you want to give your kids the ability to turn a sailor's ears blue, then no. The cussing here is excessive. Now if you cuss regularly in front of your kids, then they probably can handle the F-S-A words thrown around with regularity.

Let your kid watch it, but teach him/her that its inappropriate to swear at his/her age.

I'm also voting no, primarily for the language.

As a parent and a teacher of kids in Grade 5-9, I dont get the rush to allow kids to watch or listen to things that, "Ehh it wont hurt em, I watched worse when I was their age..."

Kids are kids and ultimately they should not and need not be exposed to this type of language and content too early. Sure its going to happen, but why rush it. This type of media is not made for kids, it is meant to entertain adults. Kids will hear these things, no doubt, I do not have my head in the clouds at all. But a parent's role I feel is the slowing down of the tide rather than opening the flood gates because hey, its inevitable.

My .02 for the day,

Aaron

I bet most of the people saying go for it aren't parents at all and will change their tune once they have kids of their own.

I did not allow my kids watch it oldest being 12 years old. Lots of violence, a sex scene and language.

I can't even recommend this movie to adults.
Utter trash.

update:

wouldn't allow my kid to see it for a long while yet..... Too dark.. not as much of a comedy as I thought it would be. Totally inappropriate.

as for it being trash... the DVD messed up about a third of the way thru it... didn't bother trying to get another copy... don't know if I will.

This is way worse than Rush Hour... and yes.. I did let my son watch Rush Hour 3... aside from a little language... there isn't much in the movie that is beyond his age appropriateness. It's just another action comedy. If there were any inappropiate scenes, they get muted and a hand covers his eyes.

I am IN live with Will Smith and therefore automatically love all his work, but I have to agree... this one was a severe disappointment :(

It was a little far-fetched/all over the place and I definitely expected more... but I did enjoy it. :)

Sadly I feel like his older stuff is better - much better. I guess it's his son's turn :)
