I plan on going to see "My Bloody Valentine 3D" at a local theater, but unfortunately, there is no IMAX here in London, Ontario. Does that mean it will be shown in 2D? or will they give a 3D glasses??

How do i know if they are shown in 3d or 2d?
Does IMAX only theater can show it in 3d?

think they just give you 3d glasses. i heard yorkdale is showing it here, and it isn't an imax theater, just have to wear the glasses.

Don't bother watching it unless it's 3D.
On that note, 3D effects are the best I've seen though....

It does not matter if you watch it in imax or not. You just need 3d glasses for it to work. I seen it over the weekend. It was fun ad on to have it 3d.

When you look up the movie show times on like tribute.ca or wherever you should see My Bloody Valentine 3D or 2D. Make sure you go to the one marked 3D

The movie wasn't the greatest but the 3D was pretty good.

The 3D effects of this movie CAN'T make up for a CRAPPY storyline...

The 3D effects are cool initially, but the novelty of it wears off in this movie when you see the same predictable action scenes every 10minutes...

I suppose its ok if you've never seen a movie in 3D,,,but aside from that, nothing good about this movie...

I haven't seen a horror movie in the last 10 years that wasn't predictable. Even more so since I saw the original over 10 years ago.
That said, I still enjoyed the 3d in this movie. Was worth the 10 bucks I paid to see it. Cant wait until Hollywood finally starts making everything this way.

Agreed, horror movies generally are predictable...

But the use of a pickaxe to kill someone the same method literally every 10minutes of the movie.......meh....got boring after a while

Here are some horror movies from the last 10-odd years that aren't predictable.
And then you won't be able to make bold statements like this anymore :)

Bubba Ho-Tep
Cube
Eden Lake
Event Horizon
Frailty
Jeepers Creepers
May
My Little Eye
Session 9
Audition (Japanese)
Devil's Backbone, The (Spanish)
High Tension (AKA Switchblade Romance, AKA Haute Tension) (French)
Ichi the Killer (Japanese)
Let The Right One In (Swedish)
Orphanage, The (Spanish)
[Rec] (Spanish)
Visitor Q (Japanese)

Bubba Ho-Tep Ill agree with you on this one but Im not sure id call it a horror.

Cube Your right on this one as well. Then again the writers couldn't come up with a coherent plot so...

Eden Lake Admit I didnt see this one

Event Horizon Seen it dont remember it, what I did remember didnt make much sense too me. :)

Frailty Predictable but good

Jeepers Creepers VERY predictable but again I liked it

Couldn't sit through any of these
May
My Little Eye
Session 9

High Tension (AKA Switchblade Romance, AKA Haute Tension) (French)
OH PLEASE who didn't see the ending of that one coming? Thats been done to death!

Ichi the Killer (Japanese) STUPID movie (sorry just my 2 cents)

Audition (Japanese)
Devil's Backbone, The (Spanish)
Let The Right One In (Swedish)
Orphanage, The (Spanish)
[Rec] (Spanish)
Visitor Q (Japanese)[/QUOTE]

Maybe I should have been more specific and said MOST ENGLISH horror movies since you seem to want to take me so literally. :)
Dont really care about the foreign horror movies as most of them just aren't my cup of tea.
Theres always one or 2 that catch you off guard but ive watched sooooo many that they all just blur together after awhile it seems.

Oh and for the record, since we are taking things so literally, Event horizon & cube came out in 1997 so they don't count anyway. :)

The Descent?

The Descent was good. I watched the British version. From what I heard the version released in the US had the ending changed

Midnight Meat Train was a pretty good horror movie which got caught up in Lionsgate management change

Yeah I watched both versions they had to make a "nicer" ending to please the North American audience. At least that's what they say. Most people seem to like the British ending so more then likely it was to make the movie studio execs. happy (of course).

The movie is not on IMAX and there was never any mention it will be shown on that format. "My Bloody Valentine 3D" is shown on a regular digital projector that is equipped with 3D technology and yes, 3D glasses will be given away by the staff. There is an Empire Theatre in your city that is showing your movie.
