I just saw a very weird TV commercial on The Comedy Network. It was a very strange weird looking guy just looking at you through the TV screen for 15 seconds with very strange noises in the background. At the last few seconds, the following text shows on the screen: "Peer Into A Soul".
Has anyone seen this very strange commercial? What does it mean?

This super cool commercial directs you to a website where you can preview the new Kia Soul.
Check out peerintoasoul.ca to see the vehicle!!!

I only registered to voice how ridiculous that commercial is... It's plain stupid. Please don't delete my post just because it's negative.
Honestly, it's a car commercial. How stupid are the people at Kia?
Ads like this achieve the opposite of their intention. They make me essentially boycott the product because of ridiculour advertising promotions.
Anybody else agree?
Thanks,
RS

the commercial is more interesting than most of the junk on the television. i would rather watch this than something less interesting. we're talking about it, aren't we? plus one of the characters looks like a guy i work with. its super crazy.

Because you were really going to buy this particular vehicle if it wasn't for the commercial?

Looks like Mini Cooper...but then, thats what KIA does....they copy other designs and price then at 50%.
Too bad their cars are so crappy.

i'd rather have 2 souls than a mini though. from the website, the soul looks different from the kias that i've seen. i didn't even know it was a kia until i went to the website. also, i saw another commercial that looked like the first one with two guys looking at the screen. its on the website.

When was the last car you saw in a TV ad campaign, that looked the same in person?
Its all smoke and mirrors and you'll likely be disappointed when u actually see one.

this brought me memories to those Obay commercials and those recently deciphered "ER" ads. I once made a blog posting about the "ER" ads, wondering what the people what does ER means. In the end, it was Bell's new marketing campaign.

I completly agree with Randy, this ad leads you to believe that the website has something to do with actual souls or something, not a stinking car ad, its disgusting.

Coming from an advertising background, I really think it's an interesting campaign which KIA has introduced to us. It peeked my curiosity when wondering WTH were those guys looking into? then Ahh, made sense. It satisfies your curiosity in 2 ways. You either like it your you don't. Plain and simple.

Thanks to RFD for satisfying the little curiosity I had for this thing. I thought
it was creepy too. But I wasn't going to hit the website in the commercial
only because "that's just what they expected me to do" :)

Glad I found out here, instead of being counted as a hit by the website.
The mafia guys are funny, they should have stayed away from freak boy. And going from the mystical/spiritual/social-worky vibe of peering into a soul to something as mundane and gold digging as car sales makes me feel used and dirty and ashamed to be Korean. Btw, check out doucheintomyhole.org. Only the two kids that bell used before the beavers were as bad as this crap. Bring back the 'Noid!
