As title says, I'm looking for a xbox 360 hd-dvd drive. Anyone know where I can get one cheap? I'm in the Kitchener area but make trips to the niagara area on most weekends.

New or used, as long as it works.

I would see if any EB Games has deadstock they are like $49.99 new or even cheaper I think I saw 'em for $29.99-$39.99 range now. There is a store in Toronto that has them for $22.99 used as well it's called Game Centre.

I have seen them for $49.99 brand new in the box with the King Kong movie in a couple of Toys-R-Us stores in the Montreal area. One store last night still had 3 in stock after I bought one for myself. Perhaps the locations in your area may still have them.

If it helps in doing a search of their inventory my invoice lists the item as:

XBOX360-HD DVD DRI 410748

If anyone knows of a cheaper source for these in Montreal please send me a PM.

I have found them regularly at our local futureshop store for 49.99$.

I know they don't have them on their website, but maybe check your local stores....

Just wondering - can these be used as external CD/DVD readers (and HD-DVD readers I guess) for PC's? Do they just connect via USB?
