I'm looking for a VGA splitter to allow me to show my computer screen on two monitors simultaneously. I've seen a few of options in the $35-50 range at Tigerdirect.ca, and I've even seen cheapo Y-splitter cables on ebay. Does anyone have personal experience with any of these, and can you make any recommendations?

I will be using this to show my monitor screen through an LCD projector for teaching purposes. (The LCDs were apparently installed at the beginning of the school year, yet mine has never been set up for use.) I'm planning to rig it up for the short term as it looks like this isn't going to happen any day soon.

Thanks,

dont get just the wire ones

you need to amp the signal..

i bought the wire ones, and the screen does dim the moment 2 screeens are hooked up to one source.

Maybe the best option is to replace the video card with a dual output type that can drive 2 monitors at the same time.

e.g- one monitor at vga and one at monitor dvi

That would be ideal, but it's a school computer and the video is on the motherboard. To make it worse, it's an MDG computer as well, since they won the school tender. :(
