I am in Mississauga, and looking to replace my current kitchen Range hood with something more powerful. I have heard about Sakura and Typhoon. Is there any one out there that can shed any light on these range hood's and let me know if there is a distributor that is reliable and will install at a RFD price!!!:D

I'm not in Mississauga, but have you tried looking at Costco? they had a few really cheap chimney style range hoods on sale for a good price - online only (free shipping). More for the DYI.

if you need the under cab type.. Sakura's are generally very powerful, but a bit noisy from my experience.. Noise generally goes hand in hand with sucking power.

Note that many Sakura's are not CSA approved (not a big deal generally).
But, if you have a permit for renos, the city inspectors may not approve of them during an inspection (at least that's the case i've heard of in the GVR).
