ghost looking effect on Canon SD1100 IS

Not sure if the SD1100 has this effect, but I am looking for the ghost looking effect. It's like when the camera captures an image for a little bit of time and it kind of gives that 'ghost' effect. Not really sure what the correct term for it is. You see it a lot on photos of like highways with the headlights/rear lights of the cars.

I don't have my manual with me so any help would be appreciated.

Long exposure. Its using a slow shutter speed.
