Hey everyone,
I'm looking into getting an MBA. My GPA is about 3.30 in Engineering at U of T. If I do well on my GMATs (>630), will I have have a good chance at the good MBA schools in Ontario like Schulich, Queen's, or Ivey?

im sure most MBA programs nowadays also require you to have 2-3 years working experience before applying.

Chances are good. Schulich may take you in right after undergrad (depends on your extra-cirrculars). Many co-op MBAs (i.e. McMaster, Laurier) will also take you in as well.

i don't think Brock, McMaster, Wilfred-Laurier or York require work experience

is it impossible for one to get into mba if the person has a super low cgpa, say 2.5?

2.5 is 99% impossible unless its a crappy MBA

consider some of the online ones
at the end, an engineering and mba degrees will get you farther and i believe if you graduated from a british online mba school is the same as from one local... of course we are talking about accredited schools
when i interview people, i dont look at the school, i ask a question or two and i can basically know if the person has understood what he learned from the mba program. isn't that what is important for my company?

The cutoff for decent MBA programs is usually 3.0. There are some distance ed programs you may be able to look in to though.

Requirements vary for work experience, grades, etc.
Harvard, of all schools, doesn't have explicit work experience requirements (http://www.hbs.edu/mba/admissions/admissioncriteria.html) but you've gotta have an incredible set of extracurriculars, involvement, etc.
If you're looking for a direct-from-undergrad program, I just graduated from a Masters of Management program. It's like an MBA but without a specialization, aimed at non-business backgrounds (science, engineering, etc.)

There are a few schools now offering it.
