silly file question :D

so i finally decided to shoot in raw but i can't seem to open the .NEF files in ps. so i was wonderng if any one of cd's would convert my files (i don't want to install them all and they came with the d80). Or is there a better program out there?

look for patches to photoshop, i know i had to patch mine to open xti raw files....or 5d i forget which....

but you should be able to open those files in adobe camera raw after it's been patched

edit: or adobe has a raw converter which converts raw files to DNG (digital negative). this is the 'proper' way to go as DNG is suppose to be a standard raw format. i'm too lazy to do this
