What are you trying to appeal?

is there any lawyers that focus on student appeals?
i need to do a major appeal for my university grades and any help is appreciated. the cost is not an issue.
A lot of student appeals are done by university legal clinics (for the universities with law schools).
If, however, you want to throw massive amounts of money at the situation, look for lawyers who do a lot of administrative law. Academic appeals are somewhat similar to other administrative tribunal work...

Don't the student unions provide free legal assistance? Or would this be outside of their legal team's expertise?

The legal aid at most schools would probably not cover marks. I tried to get help when I was being harassed by my landlord (and my landlord double-deducted my rent and wouldn't return the $800) but since my case was under $1000 they wouldn't take it.
Most student unions run student appeals help centres. Look into it. They helped my friend appeal a failing mark.
