My friend is planning to apply for this program (International economics and finance). The problem is, it is offered only full time. Since she is working full time and in need of the income, would it be possible for her to apply for this program and then take only 2-3 classes a semester? Would she be penalized or withdraw from the program if the requirements of full load won’t be met?
Anybody who is in this program of Ryerson? How do you like it? It has been offered only in last two years, so it is fairly new, I would like to hear the opinion about the usefulness and overall thoughts of this program.
Thank you.

Im finishing second year in International Econ & Finance @ ryerson, as for being offered in the last two years only im not sure since there were people who graduated when i started and they went for 4 years so its not that new....The only reason why I decided to go for it was because it was kind of "prestige" with only 70 people accepted per year and it is a small program.....When it comes to usefulness I dont know what to tell you there is the internship part which is good and the thesis and the foreign language have to study but I can say anything until i graduate and my journey is not over then unless i screw up my gpa and cant get into masters later.......My personal thoughts are that it is more useful as a solo undergrad degree than just economics but less than business administration but then again I dont know.As for your friend its best that she goes and talk to the people from the department and see what they say.........the program is made so that you take 5 courses per semester but you can take less its only going to take you forever to finish it........as I said check it with the department people.
