Zagg.com has a 50% off sitewide coupon SHOWSP09
Expires Jan 19, 2009
Free USPS shipping to Canada.
Also, if you ever use fatwallet fatcash, they have 12% cashback, under store invisibleShield (not under ZAGG), which makes the deal even more sweet.
After 50% off and free shipping, it's about the same price as BestSkinsEver, but you get the full installation kit and lifetime warranty with invisibleShield.

If you received a burst or empty bottle and don't want to wait for ZAGG to send you a new one, just make your own following BSE instruction. As they said, it's the same stuff :)

As an aside... crap! The z.Bud earphones are now down to $40... $5 less than than the about a week ago when I bought some. I guess I take some small consolation in the fact that the black earbuds are backordred until February.

I don't know if I fully understand what you are saying but it's tough to compare the shields you find in stores for those prices and the Invisible Shield, these things are practically impossible to scratch. If it does scratch it's a lifetime warranty, they send you a new one.

I was wondering also the same thing. Does Zagg discolour over a few months cuz my BSE on my white iphone has turned yellowish as well. BSE is awesome for the price but the discolouration sucks if you apply it on anything that is white.
Had them on my DS screens for a year and a half with no problems. On my iPod for about a year and no problems.
Was your DS white? On the screen you will barely notice the discolouration but on something white you might. My BSE iphone screen protector is still fine after a few months.

If it's too much for you, you can always go for the cheaper kind such as the ones I got from dealextreme (yeah yeah, shut up:cheesygri). These (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.4086) are currently on my sister's DS. Easy to apply too IMO, at a bargain! It does the job well.

I've had the InvisibleShield on my IPhone 3G for about 4 months and it's everything it says it is. It is completely scratch resistant and works great with the screen. The feel is excellent - not sticky at all but makes it a little easier to hold the phone. A very good product, for those who are wondering.

For lint free, just grab the cloth that comes with most sunglasses you buy. Or you can pick one up at most local dollar stores. Otherwise, walk into a glasses/sunglasses store and ask for a cloth, they will probably give one for free.
As for blow dryer...I would recommend just waiting and letting it air dry overnight, but if you really want, it works fine, just be real careful to not heat the phone up too much.

Jan 7th, 2009, 11:25 AM
Good Heavens., you don't need a blow dryer.
Firstly, when you're applying don't DRENCH the damn sheet. If you do., use your fingers to squeegee it moderately dry.
When you're applying and have trouble with curved edges which don't want to stick, ignore the section, work elsewhere, then revisit in about 3-5mins or 10mins (depends on how much wetness needs to evaporate obviously), then press those sections down. You'll notice a difference of night and day.
This code is pretty hawt. Use it up, then get back to the protechyourdevice thread on RFD :D.

Do these Zagg shields yellow like the BestSkinsEver?
Unless the curved corners stick better than BSE, I cannot justify the cost ... (Can get 3 back covers for the iPhone 3G for about ~$18USD, free shipping) ... I need to replace my BSE skin every 1-2 months as the bottom corner just peels back and gets all this black lint....
(The corners stick perfect for a few weeks... then they start to peel back with all the in/out to/from my holster/armband.)

The First few cellphones with curves that I applied these variety of shields to did not adhere exactly at the curved edges., and while I do keep my cells in a lycra (sunglasses variety) baggie, they did pick up an ever so faint amount of lint.
The subsequent applications were more perfect and almost zero if any sticky edges remained. It's all about the application process. Honest.
No idea if these guys Yellow., I use PYD, and they never yellow. I use my cellphones A LOT., but am clean, not sure what conditions some peoples yellow. If just bad batches, or dirty habits LOLz. :o

But I ended up with a very nice deal.
50% off $125 value = $62.50.
Two weeks ago I bought a gift card from zagg $60 value for $37.50.
So it came down to paying $40 for $125 value.
Or $8 for a full body skin for iPhone or iPod Touch.
Super.

Zagg.com has a 50% off sitewide coupon SHOWSP09
Expires Jan 19, 2008
Free USPS shipping to Canada.
Also, if you ever use fatwallet fatcash, they have 12% cashback, under store InvisibleShield (not under ZAGG), which makes the deal even more sweet.
After 50% off and free shipping, it's about the same price as BestSkinsEver, but you get the full installation kit with IS.

Note that the site is pretty slow right now.
Well I priced the iPhone 3G with Invisible shields, and at Bestskinsever, its $7.99 + $2.25 shipping, where as at IS, it's $24.95/2, so it's still $2 more.

You can get a pair of "BOSE" (not real ones) headphones for only $8.50. And IMO they work as well as any other midrange headset like the zbuds.
Most cheap Headphones are not Iphone compatible, and I like that the Zbuds do not tangle (so they say) and you don't have to put them in your pocket when you stop listening.

Just wanted to let you guys know that Zagg stuff is not good IMO.
I ordered 10 sets of invisibleSHIELD for my office Blackberry's (Bold's and Curve's) and 1 for my Sony HD Camcorder and Canon G7 Digital Camera and they ALL went back for refund.
The invisibleSHIELD is definitely not invisible and left a bumpy "orange peel" look to all the devices. Totally ruins the glass feel and look of LCD screens.
They may be tough as nails but at what cost? I went with another brand and am much happier.... (forgot which one right now but it was recommended on crackberry.com)
Only positive was how great their customer service was regarding the issue.
Everyone has their own opinion but I just wanted to let you know what I and everyone at my office discovered.

Have you actually listened to the Zbuds?
I've been trying to dig up info on them before jumping in, but it seems not too many people have actually tested them. I'm debating between this and NuForce's NE-7M's. The latter have had some pretty glowing reviews, but I can't find a Canadian retailer.

The orange-peel texture can only be seen if you're actively looking for it. You'll see if you reflect light off the shield, and that's about it. I've got shields on my Blackberries and cameras, and they are indeed invisible in practice. I say stop spending time looking for drawbacks and instead use the devices. I'm pretty picky myself, but I have no problems with the texture.

I have the invisibleSHIELD on my first gen iPhone, iPhone 3G, and aluminum MacBook. Works great! The secret to the install is to spray liberally on your device and the skin...just carefully wipe up any excess water.
When you spray lots, it eliminates bubbles when you lay the skin down and you can also move the skin around easily too! Try it!!

got mine today in a pretty big box. inside the box was a tube, which had the stuff in it. i had ordered from them several times in the past, and always got a bubble mailer with a small box inside.
interesting as to why they changed their packaging to such a massive box and tube, which likely increased their shipping costs, and the packaging looks uglier.

im seemingly one of the lucky few to have gotten the product intact in the nice new packaging, however i did have to warm up the tube for the liquid to melt before using (thankfully it didnt burst for me as it has for some of you).
well, it took me less than an hour to put the thing on, and less than 5 minutes to take it off. simply put, this product is absolutely useless for the e71 unless you insist on throwing your phone in a man purse filled with change and open swiss army knives...
what i feel are the parts most susceptible to damage, ie. the gray painted plastic at the bottom and top edges of the phone, are not protected at all. i dont use a carry case for my phone but take very good care of it however ive noticed a little chafing on the bottom edge from when i rest my phone in the car cup holder. i figured the "body" shield would do just that, shield the body, but it seems it only covers the metal flat surfaces which dont really need scratch protection in the first place.
anyways i plan to email zagg and ask them why they omitted to provide protection for the areas that need it most. cant say anything for their other products, i assume they're better thought out.

Don't be so sure of that, I emailed them about my phone having a glass front keypad (the buttons were metal, but behind them was glass) and they responded saying that the "full protection" protector didn't cover the glass because it would wear out to quickly. They did note that no device had a keyboard protector, but it just seems like something that needs protection, and without it, it's not really "full protection."

I just use "windex" to put on my skins. It evaporates a bit faster than water and is slippery enough to allow for proper positioning. Although, some wonders if the chemicals in windex will damage the surface of the device. Your best bet might be a bit of liquid soap with water. I think there's a discussion regarding skin application in the bestskinsever thread.

Got my package yesterday with the same problem. I ordered my shields on Jan 12th. Ordered 5 shields in total and the only one that was in tack was for my GPS. I called their 1-800 and spoke with a rep. who kept apologizing for the busted bottles and the trouble I had to go through. He immediately submitted another order to be shipped expedited in order to arrive faster and will not go through customs. They will send you a label and you send back the damage ones. Since I was on the phone with the rep. I told him that 2 of my shields is peeling at the corners (ordered them 3 months ago). While I was still on the phone with him, got an email to check out for the new shields as a replacement...total cost $0.03 CAD.
They are pricier then other companies but the customer service is unbelievable...for anyone who is concern about quality or if there warranty is legit, I can vouch that Zagg is awesome and will be buying from them from now on.

got my skin yesterday and put it on.
What a royal pain in the ass. The adhesive they put on it makes it IMPOSSIBLE to maneuver the shield on the screen, so you basically have 1 shot to get it on right the first time.
Trying to peel the shield to remove bubbles you can't squeegee out leaves the adhesive contaminated.
I did the best I could and while it doesn't look as bad as I thought (letting it sit to 'set') I'm still reluctant to recommend the shield.
I was given a protector with my original phone which was a lot easier to put on and a lot more clear but likely not as resistant to scratches. you have to weigh how much punishment you think your device will be going through before buying a shield like this.
At least I got it for 50% off.

i noticed that too so i dont bother using the squeegee. i use a credit card. works much better since the rubber squeegee grips onto the skin and pulls it.

Thanks OP - Just got mine in the mail. It was a good deal but...
This will be last plastic ******** I was my money on. Over the years I have bought countless plastic shields from ZAGG, Martin Fields, EXIM etc and they are all $hit. I don't know why I but them anyway, out of all the cell phones and cameras that I have had I can only remember scratching one screen and it didn't matter anyway.
They either don't fit properly, apply with air bubbles that don't dissappear, take away from the quality of a screen, attract dust etc. Usually a combination of everything.
These companies will not get any more of my money...

I bought them for US$44.56 incl shipping.
($79.99 x 50%) + $4.56 USPS First Class International.
I actually called in my order and told them that I couldn't see the USPS shipping option online. Great deal, imo. Too bad they won't ship for at least two weeks as they're OOS.

Got my skin for the HTC Touch Diamond yesterday, took me probably 2 hours to do it. The bottle didn't came busted, but it's empty. I just mix some liquid detegent with water and it seems to work fine. However, the front skin didn't work very well. When I tried to stick the side flap to the side of the device, air will go into the front screen's edge which cannot be removed. This is probably because the edge of the device is "higher" than the screen, so it's kind of doing 3x 90 degree turns in a 1mm margin, which is not quite possible for this material. End up I have to totally cut the side flaps and leave with the front screen only.. but it made it pretty ugly as I have to pull the flap up and cut it with a scissors. I emailed them and complained about this as a design flaw and requested a replacement. Hope it will go.
EDIT: Didn't bother to wait for their email so i called them instead. They said it was my installaion mistake but they will make an exception and send me a replacement, but I have to pay for the $3.95 shipping. I'm not very happy with that. Also I read that some people damanged their touch screen when they pull the IS off because Windows Mobile touch screen has a thin layer of plastic on top of the glass which may come off with the IS if you use too much force. This is scary...
UPDATE: I emailed ZAGG again and complained, and now they've waived the shipping for me. Now the replacement costs $0.01.

I just received mine and it's another soaking package. The package was crushed and the spray bottle came apart and is completely empty. Seeing it happened to at least 5 other people here, this is ********. Fortunately I have spray left over from my last shield.

Give them a call on the 1-800 number. They should be able to help right when you call. I've called them twice and both times they have been very helpful.
Edit: Were you charged US$35.33 or C$35.33? If you were charged C$35.33, it sounds about right as the C$ is worth about US$0.80.

Anyone from Newfoundland ever order from these people?
I placed my order for them on Jan 14 and confirmed shipped on Jan 16. I was just curious as to how many business days this will take.
Good thing I bought one too, my other plastic case snapped in a few places the other day.
Mine shipped on the 10th, and no sign of it yet.
So I got one for my Sony eBook reader, but I am not convinced that I am going to use it. After applying it to a device, how much of a pain are these things to take off, and how much residue do they leave? I am afraid that the shield will make the screen harder to read.

Just want to share my experience:
Ordered my shield for my Panny LX3 camera on Jan 8th. They shipped on the 13th and I got it on the 20th.
My package came in with everything intact. No broken bottle though! My bottle comes in with a plastic seal that kept the cap on tightly by the way. I noticed that it is missing in some of the pictures posted.
Took a few tries to put it on. The shield is only for the 3 inch screen so it wasn't too difficult. I did have to redo a few times because the screen would move after i put it on and parts of the plastic would be sticking out from the side. I find it easier to spray the shield as you put it on, so you start with one corner and then spray the shield as you slowly stick it onto the surface. I can imagine that this would be very hard to do though if it was a full body shield. Also it gets rather messy because of all the liquid. I wind up putting it on in the bathroom.
They shield is drying right now and it looks okay so far. Hopefully I won't have any problems.

Also, has anyone ordered a replacement? How was the process? I heard you have to call in and give them your credit card number over the phone.

The bottle is sealed for me (I got it 2 days ago). Replacement does not require you giving them the credit card number. They will sent you a link through email and when you click on the link, it's like ordering a new skin again, just that the price is $0.01. Then you just go through the normal ordering process.

Well I just got mine yesterday. Ordered 2 shields and they seem fine (putting them on in a few minutes). However, for whatever reason, one of the 2 bottles was sealed and the other was not. Wtf? The unsealed bottle wasn't broken at all, it just looked like the top hadn't been screwed on. Not a big deal to me because I'm sure the one bottle will do, it just seems quite stupid.

I've received some VERY terrible service with Zagg.
Over the last year I've spent just over $125 on invisible shields!
Firstly, the $5.26 shipping was terrible because it took them about 10 days just to process the order! Thankfully, I got that $5.26 refunded after I complained.
Anyways, onto the terrible service:
As I applied one of the invisible shields to my Panasonic TZ5 camera, the fluid seeped behind the LCD screen! I immediately removed the screen, and let it sit for the night. It dried out and there were no problems. The discarded screen was too dirty to reuse.
I called customer service for a replacement and they're asking $3.95 to ship it out to me. I argued that I'm a frequent customer and that I have not filed for any replacement prior to this. Also, what do these things cost them... they put $0.50 for each one on the customs notice. He continued to argue with me, he was very rude with me, not apologetic or understanding whatsoever.
I told him that because I'm such a loyal customer I shouldn't have to pay for shipping, and he said 'well everyone has to pay for shipping.' He then asked me if I would be comfortable if customers who had spent even more money would get even better discounts than me. I said yeah, no problem because I might eventually become one of those customers If I had received good service. Finally, I added that at the retail chain where I work, we do honour loyal customers that make large purchases with better discounts than first-time every day customers. He then proceeded to say "Well, maybe that's the way you do things in CANADA! But, here everyone pays the same shipping" I just outright LAUGHED, and asked him if he's kidding. I said it's an absolute joke he's trying to blame this on situation on my country as a whole! It became a little personal and I juust started to say, laughingly, you honestly think Canada is a bad place to be... and before I could even say anything bad about the states.. he begins to yell and NOT LET ME SPEAK!! Saying OKAY that's everything, THANKYOU FOR CHOOSING ZAGG. *click*
I tried to call back to complain, but it was just 5 minutes past closing time. I got his name and the time of the call, he's definitely getting a complaint tomorrow.

Not impressed with the product. Ordered it for a 4.3" GPS screen. The application fluid was empty (unscrewed), 1/2 filled it with deionized water and tried an application. Film was slightly (.5 mm) to short lengthwise and slightly too wide widthwise (if that makes any sense). Couldn't get all the bubbles out and it looks like crap. Probably installer error partially to blame but I don't think I'd try it again. I'm out about $6 so not worth pursuing a refund.

Got mine on the 22nd. Packaging was intact with no broken bottles. The bottles on both my packages (itouch 2g skins) were wrapped. (I wonder of those who had unwrapped bottles had them opened by customs?)
Was only able to apply the first skin to my own itouch last night. Installation was smoother than I expected although I suppose its one of those things that gets easier with experience. Some observations:
The front part doesn't cover the _whole_ suraface area. There is still a tiny bit of uncovered area to either side of the skin. No big deal since the main "touch area" is still taken care of.
There's a pesky air bubble right around the lower button. I'm hoping it will dissipate with time.
The screen itself doesn't look entirely smooth. Almost has a bit of a "pebbly" appearance. Again, I'll give it a few days to see how things settle but honestly, I prefer the look of the $2 dealextreme screen protector.
The back piece went on without any real issues and doesn't look too bad One of the corners stuck up a bit but I was able to tame it by "palming" it down for a while. I'll be curious to see how it holds up over the next little while.
Now I had mine in a silicon case since day 1 and I'm used to it. I'll admit, it feels rather strange having an "almost naked" itouch in my hands. Nothing beats the grip of a silicon case.
For me, the jury's still out on whether or not I really like it, but I'll give it a while and see how things work out. At that time, if my wife wants, I can apply the second skin I bought to her itouch.

That is how it is supposed to look and it will continue to have the pebbly appearance. The shield is many times stronger then those $2 screen protectors though so what you might be giving up in an absolute smooth appearance you are making up for in much better scratch protection. Plus you can't see anything different when you have the screen and it's backlight on.

I agree, when I first installed it on my iPod it took a bit to get used to but after a while I really liked it without the extra bulk of a case.

Wierd, I have ordered one full skin for a 2G Macbook, a few skins for cameras, a bunch of full body and only front for an iPhone and I never had problems with broken bottles wierd...maybe it was too cold in TO....
It probably takes longer now since they had that 50% off which makes them extremely busy.
BTW, people inquiring about the Zagg Ear Buds...wow...they are very strong! The wires are made out of fabric which helps me a lot since when I got my Seinheisers Sport Headphones...the plastic covering the wires was getting exposed near the week points (edge of the headphones, near the plug to your MP3 player and near the metallic area within a few weeks. Also great bass from it...I was about the buy another black one but they are up to regular price now and out of stock :(

1 Fully Body Iphone Skin - BOTTLE FULLY INTACT. Note, that this was the only one with an actual wrapper on it.
2 out of 5. Not bad i guess. I'll use the drop of soap and water trick for the others.

Got my orders today (bulk with a few friends).
Here is the damage (literally) on the spray bottles (all shields were intact)
1 Sony DSC-3000 skin - screw undone, bottle empty
1 Canon 20D skin - screw undone, bottle still managed to stay full (minor miracle in my opinion)

Ok so I finally got mine. The bottle is in tact but my box is squished. All in all I'm satisfied. Sorry to those who have to endure it without the bottle.

i got mine couple days ago and everything was oki. box wasn't squashed, bottle was full. all in all its good. i used 2 bottles while installing it on the N95, soooo many pieces, i think there were 6 in total. it was extremely hard to put on cause the phone would curve around buttons, speakers, and camera. So there were tiny airbubbles that were impossible to remove while installing the shield.
Overall the product works fine so far, just a pain installing on N95

so i installed the shield today after getting the replacement shield spray. the small pieces weren't bad to install but the large pieces were a bit harder. the back and screen don't look that good right now but according to my friend, they will smooth out. i sure hope so. =S

yea most of it will smooth out within couple of days, but there are some that seem to be permanent.

Finally applied the skin to my Samsung Instinct....at first to many air bubble got caught in between made the screen look ugly. Reapplying it and using the rubber "scrapper" properly the second time fixed this :) Overall quite happy with the shield.

any tips on installing big pieces?
i haven't tried installing yet, but i'd imagine holding the bottom edge up and letting it fall down from the top edge would work?
any users who've already applied found a good way to do it?

Jan 14 - Ordered
Jan 16 - Shipped
Jan 30 - Not recieved yet
Living in NL is absolutly terrible if you like buying stuff. We have very little options for stores and it takes a ridiculously long time for anything coming by mail.
Hopefully I will get it sometime next week, and it will not be wet when it arrives.

Installed it today on my iPhone. It went on relatively easily and it has a nice grip feel to it. There are a few bubble, but apparently it should go away in 24-48 hours to set in.

Finally for the last time I can post in this thread :p
Ordered Jan 14
Shipped Jan 16
Arrived Feb 3
The box was in perfect condition and the spray bottle was full and sealed. I don't think a drop came out, and it wasn't frozen either which is good. Definately gunna try and put this on later.

k so i just installed it and my brand new iphone is kinda ugly now lol.
but i do admit, the back-side was applied extremely poorly by me.
ill wait a couple days and see how it turns out. if i can't stand it i'll take it off and see if i can get a replacement for just the back piece to re-do.

I applied it twice so the second time around I must have got some lint or something so it looks kinda bad. No air bubbles though, just a little dust on the edges, not a big deal.
I also don't like how the front piece doesn't cover the screen 100% There is a small amount that is still open... so there is potential for dust to collect. Also, why did they make it so the back piece doesn't come over and cover all the chrome edges? They only cover a small portion of the edge.

Mine took about 2 weeks to come in. The solution had spilled, with only about 5% left in the bottle... I just filled it with water, and shook the bottle.
The front was relatively easy to put on, with one air bubble that went away after about 24 hours.
The back however, was entirely different. The first time I tried, I just used my hands, and had a heck of a lot of bubbles, but the corners were nice
I took it off, and tried again, using the plastic squeegee they give with it, and it was better, but still had quite a few bubbles, a couple of big ones.
Then the third time, I tried using a credit card instead, and it worked like a charm; only 3 small bubbles, 2 of which have gone, so I am left with one.
So the first thing I tried was taking keys to the shield. It barely scratched it, but as someone said, you can see the scratch. This was a disappointment since, in the ad, they do it, and show that there are no scratches.
Overall though, after about a week of use, I like it so far.

my bb 8900 skin was very poorly sized. my back battery is ever so slightly too big resulting in some overhang but that means it will collect dust and start to peel.
other forum users on crackberry have reported the screen skin is also too big as well (i did not use the screen skin so i can not verify)
since it is a new item, i guess they have not extensively checked the specs before sending them out.
all my other IS orders were fine. im going to see what their response is

nah, don't stress, it actually takes extremely long for it to be shipped, fastest i've ever had was 3 weeks....
i've order three shields from them, all taking that long. but no point paying $20 or $50 bucks for faster shipping
just be patient, if you're really concerned, e-mail the representatives, they're sometimes (but generally not always) reasonable
if not, register to "http://forums.macrumors.com/" cuz they have a zagg representative registered to answer questions, etc.
hope this helps!

My Zbuds broke after 1 month of light usage. Zagg's solution? Me sending them another $20 US plus pay for UPS shipping back to them. After all of this, what do I get? Another set of the same crappy Zbuds which will break in the same defective place.

Where the 3.5mm connector meets the braided cord. Its inevitable that this will break for all Zbuds owners. They simply make it look like the plastic bends enough to save the wires inside but it does not.

boy am I late on this deal :)
Needed to buy a skin and this is the only place that sells it.
Anyone else know of other places that have the skin for a Lenovo S10?
Or if another 50% coupon is coming along anytime soon :)
