I think there are a couple of decent deals over at Canada Computers right now if you need a biiig power supply or a very small MP3 player (and you like or don't mind the colour pink):

OCZ ProXStream 1000W Power Supply - Multi-GPU Ready, Active PFC, 80mm Fan (OCZ1000PXS) - $69.99 (http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=012565&cid=PS.808) after $80 mail in rebate
Creative Zen Stone Plus 2GB MP3 Player Pink - $29.99 (http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=019918&cid=MP.29)

A review from TechPowerup (http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/OCZ/ProXStream1000W/5.html) for the OCZ power supply gives it a score of 9/10 and praises its efficiency, stability, and rails. The power supply was the same price for Boxing Day and I think it's easily the best price around. The rebate is rather sizeable, but it comes with the territory.

The 2GB Zen Stone Plus isn't bad at $30 either... not remarkable, but good if you need a very small and lightweight MP3 player... maybe to exercise with as part of your new year's resolutions.

Canada wide shipping is offered, but for the MP3 player in particular, local pickup is ideal.

Keep in mind that review linked is nearly two years old. A lot has changed since then and the OCZ PSU is nowhere near as efficient as most power supplies today. Also, as mentioned in the review and other users will attest to, the power supply is quite loud so be wary of that. And finally, the $80 MIR is quite a bit to swallow so if you're going to take the plunge (as with all MIRs), know that there's a possibility you may never see that money again.

I'm not saying that you shouldn't buy this power supply. I mean, if you know what you're getting yourself into then by all means go ahead, the price is fantastic for a 1000W power supply. But also keep in mind that the PSU is cheap for a reason.

Is there also no power on/off switch on that psu?

Gambling with a $80 MIR is huge, especially if you are in Ontario you are paying $10.40 in taxes on the rebate amount alone. Gives me chills.

OCZ is really good with their rebates. The people complaining must be doing something wrong because I'm 7 for 7 on rebate from OCZ. Make sure you keep copies of all submitted materials in case something happens, they will allow you to re-submit with copies.

I don't see the rebate link, does anyone still have it? Is it still in effect?

Could these guys be any slower? Twice I've ordered, both times it's been over a week to ship 100 miles. I ordered ram online last Monday, heard nada back, called them Friday afternoon after 15 tries finally got a warm breather. He said it was in stock but they were busy and would ship it Monday. A week before it even leaves their shop? I order from DirectCanada Monday, pay $9.99 air shipping, and Purolator has it at my door in rural Eastern Ontario Tuesday at 3 pm. Cross country in 24 hours versus a week to go 100 miles. CC has got to do better than that.

Is this for all rebates that have the Montreal address (same address diff dept)? I have a $25 rebate that I have yet to mail out, and it would be nice to know where I should address it...

Bought this PSU for my new gaming build thinking at 1000W I would have ample room after my HD 4870. The power supply is garbage and couldn't give the HD4870 the power it needed even though it has enough amperage on the 12V rail. Problem stems from the usage of multiple 12V rails. I personally went with Corsair TX650 and once I plugged it in everything worked like a charm whereas with the OCZ the computer would not start period.

IMHO avoid this PSU if your looking to power any of the newer video cards, an excellent PSU update for the previous gen CPU/GPU.

I called the 1-866-665-7405 number on the rebate form, and spoke with the customer service there... they say the Montreal address is valid... don't know what to do with my rebate form.... Should I sent it to the California address or the Montreal address... what to do - what to do....
