Hi all,

This issue has been frustrating me for days, so I hope you can help me.

I recently bought a laptop which is supposed to have a Integrated WiFi 802.11 b/g/n network connection. I purchased a wireless n router on boxing day and i can connect to it but only at g speeds. When i changed my router settings to (N only) i was unable to connect to the network. Do I have to change something on my laptop to connect to a N network?

By the way my new laptop is a Sony Vaio VGN 135d i google and searched redflag but haven't been able to find a solution, if you can help i would appreciate. Thanks in advance for the help.

I saw something about this on a website about the Trendnet N router, try disabling wpa or whatever security you have. You could also try updating the firmware.

It's possible your router is using N 5 GHz and your laptop only supports 2.4 GHz N. Check that setting in your router's config, it should be able to do one, the other, and in some cases, both.
