Hi I have two quick questions
1) For Ryerson's business program they said that I should fill out a Supplementary Form but its not required, will it hurt my chances if I don't. It cost $70 and I'm beyond the cutoff range of 75-80% with an 82-83% avg
2) Is it worth the money to apply to Schulich even though my chances are next to nothing
Advanced Functions: 77%( might plan on redoing this course somewhere)
English:80%
Calc: 90(found it so much easier)
Accounting: 87-90%
Semester 2:
Data: 90%(teachers very easy marker)
International Business: 90%
Business Leadership: 90%
Thanks

I'm pretty sure that you can add more applications if you would like, you just need to pay more.
As far as the supplemental application goes, it depends how badly you want to get into the program. You very well may get in without doing the extra application, especially since your marks are pretty good. Cut off averages are all approximations based on previous years though, and business is a pretty popular program, so to be extra safe, you could do the extra application. You may also want to ask yourself if you think you have anything of value to put on the application. If you don't have much that would really impress the person who reads it, it's not really worth taking the time and spending the money.

Quick third question
3) Whats the cutoff for UTSG Rotman Commerce?
Rotman say's
Low to mid 80's average plus completion of an on-line supplemental application (profile), listing extracurricular activities such as sports, music, clubs, and work experience.
My application has some 250 hours of community service, a part time job(6months), On three school teams all soccer tho.
I have nothing for the arts and music

I wouldn't bother with Ryerson's supp package if you guarantee your average will be an 83. And if I was in your shoes, I'd only apply to Schulich if you repeat Advanced Functions... otherwise theres no way in hell you stand in a chance in getting in.
By the way, Schulich and Ryerson are pretty far off from each other... lol, where else are you applying too?

Being involved in athletics is good. Also good to be involved in clubs. I don't think universities really care about your # of community service hours unless you do volunteering in some sort of position that makes your application more attractive. They look at work experience to determine if your job experience is beneficial to your studies in business, or future career. It's not really to see if you have a job just for the sake of asking, and unless you were desperately trying to feed yourself with your job, I don't think they give you pity marks (i.e. accepting you with a lower average because you had a job). Ultimately though, having a job on your supplementary app. is better than someone who does not.
It is best if you have some positions where you can state that you develop some sort of leadership skills or assumed some leadership roles. Biz schools tend to love that. So team captains, club leaders, club founder positions, etc.
