Is it worth it to buy a Refurb laptop??? There is one on the bestbuy.ca website that I like, only 20 of them are left and think it would work well for me.
But want to know if there are issues with Refurbs (never bought one b4)...If I do buy it should I definitely get the warranty plan??

What are the Cons to buying one?? (And the Pro's beyond cost)

I am focusing on Bestbuy because I have $200 in gift cards from them,
I was on hold with bestbuy earlier today..will call them back later ...seems like everyone is having issues with there xmas/boxing day stuff...but maybe someone can answer these questions for me:
Can I use gift cards for online purchases, can I get the payment plan, I think its currently 12 months, no interest no set up fee.
Not sure if I even want to do that, but just an option...

IMO, the biggest con is the 90 day warranty, and the cost of extending the warranty often makes buying a new laptop cheaper.

Its really hit and miss. You cant say all refurbs are good or bad. After leasing a laptop from my school for a few years I would stay away from a refurb. Since people that lease laptops are usually bringing them back and fourth to school/work they get pretty beat up. Also, there is a tendency to not baby a laptop if its only on lease. So I would stay away unless you can get some kind of extended warranty.
