Gaming at 1920, overclocking (will be water cooling it just before summer too), don't want i7 (too pricey).
ASUS Rampage Formula X48
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Dual Core
G.SKILL F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK PC2-8500 4GB 2X2GB DDR2-1066
Cooler Master Haf 932 Full Tower
Diamond Radeon HD 4870 X2 Xoc 800MHZ 2GB
Corsair TX850W 850W CMPSU-850TX
Western Digital Caviar Black 640GB
LG Internal Blu-ray Disc / HD DVD Reader / DVD Rewriter (GGC-H20L)
waiting for a good price for a dell 2408 a01 monitor
Any suggestions for: ram, video card 4870X2(has to be ref design for full water block), or power supply.

I personally dont like the case myself, I prefer the Antec 900 but its up to you. For ram again I like OCZ ram thats all I use and have yet to have a problem with their ram. Video card is fine if you want to go that high end, maybe just get a regular 4870 & save some $?
PowerSupply is very good, great company/quality. I like seagate HDD's better because of their 5 year warranty but its up to the person. burner is fine if you need a blue-ray burner if not grab a regular one and pick up a blueray in a few months when they are cheaper.

thanks,
nope, the HAf stays, lol. Need it for 360 rad.
Been reading reviews for the power supply and it looks like i'll keep it too. IIRC 617 watts was the calc before adding the 12v pump to the build.
Keeping the WD drive too because I have great luck with them. None ever failed me. :)
Pretty sure that is just a blu ray disc reader, not burner. I doubt I'll need a blu ray burner with blu ray discs costing so much.
Anyone with the rampage formula mobo with experience with greatly overclockable ram?
edit: Also should I go for a faster core 2 duo processor to help the video card?

how much did that run you?
this is the build i just ordered recently and has some similar components

though mine is way more budget-minded (around a grand) than yours seems to be

rough estimate ~1800, that is without price matching. I like that with ncix I don't have to pay one of the taxes but with $50 shipping and another $50 for express rma, I'm debating just buying the parts in Toronto and having closer service at a local store in case of RMA.

you should have ordered at boxing day, the e8400 was being bundled with free ground shipping for the order and it was only 194.99 :]
