Best gaming laptop?

Whats the best gaming laptop under 2k?

I saw a gateway on BB USA (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9172511&type=product&id=1218043606827) was wondering if I should get my friend to pick this up for me? It's got 1 Gig GPU RAM and 4 Gigs of CPU RAM... which I hear is probably more important than CPU Mhz/GHz now right?

#1 if you want to play games built a good Desktop computer. It will be much better then any laptop you pick up and cheaper.

but desktops lack the portability and i live in an apartment with very limited space, plus i already have a macbook ... just looking for a desktop replacement for "games only"

If your Macbook is the recent generation, then use bootcamp and make a partition for Vista/XP in order to play games.

How intense is your gmaing going to be? Minimum will be an 8600GT.
