I'm trying to figure out what the best dual layer discs are for some 360 backups.

Verbatim- $55 for 20 pack

Memorex - $60 for 50 pack

there is also another one called Ridata.

I'm assuming the memorex is lower quality for it to be sold so cheaply.

Never used any dual layer so don't know which are any good.

just found some on canadacomputers website any good?

I'd suggest Verbatim DL's. Other brands will probably cause read errors on some burns.

Also it's best to buy the Verbatims during a Futureshop sale. They go for something like $25 for a 20 pack.

My cousin, who burns a lot of 360 backups, tried memorex a year ago. He bought a 25-pack spindle and had atleast 7-10 discs give read errors.
Perhaps Memorex has raised their standards to compete in the 360 backup market.

i've only ever used verbatim (always bought when they are <$25 for 20). if you plan on installing to your 360s HDD, then quality is probably less of an issue. otherwise it might also depend on which of the 360s DVD drives you have as some are better then others.

Verbatim all the way, i've used memorex and they would hardly read, or gives errors. I've never had a problem with any verbatim disc. For some reason if i got any scratches on my memorex discs it wouldn't read, but my verbatim discs have scratches all over it and read fine. Don't try to save an extra $5 or whatever and end up having 7 coasters, just go with verbatim.

Futureshop has 20 packs of verbatims on for $20 about once a month.
