With my new phone came a pre-paid envelope which it says to put your old phone with battery in. It says proceed will go to phonesforfood.

Does this mean it wants working cell phones only? My old phone broke and I opened it, causing even more damage. Its scrap. Do I throw this out or send it in the bag? or do they only want working phones?

never heard of this.... if you want to recycle your old damaged phone head into your local staples... most have cell phone recycle bins.

Any old cell phone, working or not, is accepted.

Never just throw it out. The battery for example, is toxic, and even tells you to recycle it properly on its label.

Personally, I bring my old non-resaleable phones along with its accessories into to a TELUS store and they'll plant a tree for you.

If you're really crazy about them planting trees,

Thanks. I think ill stick with mailing out my phone in the evnelope tho, rather then burning a bunch of emmissions driving to a telus store. If they really cared im sure they can plant a tree without my cell phone lol.
