What exactly do I need... ID, Credit Card etc. to set an account up? Also should I do it in store or online?

I think it's 2 pieces of ID. I was going to get one with Rogers and the FS guy told me to buy the phone in store and go home and activate it online to avoid an activation fee.

Are you referring to a pay and talk cell phone with Fido? Because usually pre-paid refers to pay and talk. If you are refering to that then you dont need any identification. I not then you need a credit card and any form of photo identification. If your doing a pay and talk activation, you need to check and see if there is a charge to do it in store; as well as, any freebies when you activate at home. At one point Telus was offering a $25 bonus airtime to your $50 airtime if you activate your phone at home.

I asked one of the fido workers if I needed to pay for anything and he said no if you have the sim card. And yeah am talking about the pre-paid service.

I bought a Rogers PAYGO phone from the Source and I just paid for the phone, activated it online and added money to it, no id required. It should be similar for Fido.
