View Full Version : Aden Camera?

I've read on RFD that Aden Camera has pretty bad service, I plan on going there (Pacific Mall) on Boxing Day hoping to get a Canon Rebel XSi body for their price minus tax, being that it is Boxing Day and that Chinese stores are more willing to negotiate price (I'm Chinese). I've heard bad service stories and now I'm wondering if they're products are legitimate? Because I don't want to go home and find out that the box has been opened and the camera has been toyed around with.

Henry's is selling the same camera for the same price but being that they are a bigger name store, I don't think they'd be willing to negotiate price (It's like trying to negotiate with Wal-Mart to a lesser extent of course).

Any advice and input is greatly appreciated, Thanks!

Well, they are not exactly known for excellent service. I would PM Aden at Blacks or Henrys, they are willing to do so. Henrys is flexible, just be reasonable.

From what I read from the post, the guy wants to go to Aden on boxing day and negotiate on their boxing day prices. Good luck with that; a PM is the best you'll get from Blacks or Henrys. FYI, Henrys only PMs Aden if you agree to Aden's return policy (i.e. none); Blacks doesn't care.

However, Aden's stuff is legit, and they're authorized dealers.

I just thought Id add that Blacks is well known for selling returned items as new. I took home a "new" D40, and the EXIF showed 300 shutter accu. As for negotiating with boxing day prices...not going to happen.

ya you wont get anything extra taken off. they are firm with prices and only willing to negotiate if you purchase a serious amount of gear. i remember when i was looking for my 24-70 + 70-200 combo at that location.

me: "can i mount the two lenses? i have my body here with me"
csr: "no... i dont let people mount anything..."
me: "ok well can you swing a deal if i buy both?"
csr: "well are you ready to buy? if so i will give you a deal"
me: "well i want to bring the total price as close to 3000 or 3100"
csr: "well i cant promise anything but i can probably take off about $50-$60"

sooo lets see.... $60/approx $3300 = not even 2%

they are authorized resellers so dont let anyone say otherwise (ie. futureshop/bestbuy) however the customer service does suck at that location and the prices are firm

This does not happen at every location.

This does not happen at every location.

More importantly, does it happen at yours? FWIW, Richmond Hill- Hilcrest does.
