So are there any deals on good wireless N routers?

I see these at FS

Linksys WRT160N for $60
Linksys WRT310N-CA $100

Are they any good? They don't look very hot to me. I was looking for a D-link DIR-655 Xtreme N Gigabit Router. Anyone know a deal on those?

I was looking at the Linksys WRT310N-CA $100 since it seems to be about $130 regularly. I was planning on running DD-wrt on it

yea, but doesn't it still look expensive? I'm leaning towards getting a D-link DIR-655 for $90 at FS, even if its just regular price.

Don't, unless of course you read up on DD-WRT and you need all the features that they offer..and can stand disconnections..

I put it on mine and its pretty wacky, lose connection. There is no way to get the original firmware too...

I hate D-Link routers. I have the DI-524. I will not buy D-Link again.

I have the exact same router and sometime it just starts dropping connection minute after minute. Easy to setup though. I heard that the new D-Link that bad compared to the older ones.
I would line up to get a linkys router but there arent any...

The original price at Staples was over $60 and I PMed them with FS for less than $30. IIRC.

Asus WL-520GU are great routers and are on sale in several places. G though.

There's also a Belkin N router CC is selling.

Oh guys, please just wait few days. I'm quite sure they will have a huge stock of routers that they couldn't sell in this amazing BD.

I even see wrt54GL at Compu2000 for $43, they used to sell for less than $40.
Actually they increase the price in BD.

Quite a few router deals, actually. DIR-655 - not the 615 - is the one for $79.99 at NCIX and that's the lowest price I've ever seen on it. I bought it at $110 this summer. Given canadian dollar, a heck of a deal. Tons of features, though I am not sure how much actual use they have. For example, I was not able to get the traffic shaping working properly in multiple tries, despite reading online FAQ and having two decade of IT experience. And I have been able to crash it on occasion despite claims it can handle tons of connections. There are some other routers for under $30, e.g. a Trendnet draft N, also at Netlink.

DIR-655 is an excellent router. Keep the stock firmware if you intend to use it as a wired router (there's a bug in newer firmwares where the settings won't be saved unless the wireless is enabled), otherwise it's ok to upgrade the firmware to get new features. Very high-performance guts in this thing.

The DIR 655 at NCIX cost $15 to ship to Ontario, that ruins the deal for me. It would be cheaper and faster to get at local FS for $90.

Actually, that's not true in all cases.

Best Buy: Trendnet TEW-632BRP Wireless N for $20 - previous lowest price ever was $37 at NCIX in November. Its price hovered around $50-$70 for most online retailers most of the time.
