I ordered a Hanns-G 21.6" LCD monitor from TigerDirect.ca for $179 and I see now that it is on for $149 with the PayPal Boxing Day sale. I haven't received the monitor yet - it's scheduled for delivery tomorrow.

What is Tiger Direct's price match policy? Should I refuse the delivery when the UPS guy comes tomorrow and reorder it with the Boxing Day sale?

I called Tiger Direct and the CSR I spoke with was, well, unhelpful to say the least.

Any comments or suggestions?

"TigerDirect.ca’s 30 day price protection policy: In the event our regular advertised price on an item falls within 30 days of your purchase date simply E-Mail us within 30 days of your original purchase date and we will issue you a Credit in the amount of the price drop good toward the purchase of anything else we sell. This price protection policy only applies to regularly advertised products and doesn't apply to limited time sales, instant savings offers, instant or mail-in rebates, private offers, auctions, open box items, limited quantity and close out items or other promotions or offers and may not be used in conjunction with other discounts. Due to fluctuations in the industry, CPU’s, Memory, and products or bundles containing a CPU or Memory (ex. Desktop and laptop computers) are not included in our price protection policy. Prices on CPU and Memory are subject to frequent change and we cannot offer price protection on these items and products containing these items in the event prices rise or fall."

Trouble is, will they exercise price guarantee on boxing day?
As most CS centres in stores do not operate on bday (exchanges, returns, price issues, etc).
Also, not sure if brushing off UPS negates the S&H charge.
Good luck :)

Seems reviews are okay, read and decide if you want it at all.

I read their policy which was why I called their CSR to see if they would match the boxing day price, but the guy wasn't helpful. The UPS web site still says scheduled for delivery today but there has been no update to the package since the import scan at Concord, ON yesterday morning.

Will let you know what happens.

Well it turned out to be a bit of a tempest in a teapot after all...

I decided that I wasn't going to refuse the package at the door because even if I didn't get the $30 back as a credit or refund that it was still a decent price for the monitor.

Later (after the package had arrived) I found out that tigerdirect.ca had changed their advertised boxing day sale price to $179. I had seen that the .com web site had it listed at $149 US. So it turns out there was no refund to be had, except the $20 cash-back deal from PayPal if my order totalled $200 or more.

If I was ordering the monitor on the boxing day sale I would have added $21 of stuff to get the $20 cash-back, but I'm not going to order another $200 worth of stuff to get $20...
