I know what I want from Rogers Video.

They did match the Blockbuster deal of some places where you buy 2 and get one free but heck they have a better selection.

that 2/$40 deal is useless since all the stores have sold all the PPgames already

The flyer is totally misleading. You can never find that kind of selection in most Rogers on PPV games and BRs.

I'll be checking around for some BD's but I don't know if I'll be able to find THREE that I want at one location...usually there is like one here, two there etc.... I'll check around anyhow (and guess what, my PS3/blu-ray player died yesterday and is going to cost me $190 to get fixed AND make it a very DULL Christmas since 90% of the stuff under the tree is either blu-rays or games - thanks Sony!)

buy 2 get 1 free on all previously viewed blu-ray discs (this is good, looking for Matrix trilogy)

Can we use our POINTS for this deal? 20points x 2 = 40 points for 3 previously viewed blu-ray

If i bring in the BB flyer in at boxing day for $240 xbox 360 at Rogers, will they price match it?

I hope that when they say "Also Available on Xbox 360", it means the games (NHL 09, for example) are also on sale for it.

Can't say for sure for all RV stores, but in Victoria I know they do *NOT* price match.

Most likely the case.

If you have 2 movies and cant find a 3rd try asking a CSR to PV a movie off the wall....they MIGHT.

Thanks O.P

buy 2 get 1 free on all previously viewed blu-ray discs (this is good, looking for Matrix trilogy)

Should work.

If i bring in the BB flyer in at boxing day for $240 xbox 360 at Rogers, will they price match it?

No, Rogers DOES NOT price match.

Also note that RV does not guarantee any system purchased from them. If you have a problem with the system the day after you bought it you have to deal with the manufacturer and not RV.

still have hopes for the 2/$40 games. so far i don't need to go to any store right away on boxing day so I may just stop by here first to check out the selection.

The select new Wii games it says are available now - does that mean those prices are effective now vs. Dec. 26th?

It's misleading.

Are the gaming systems that are on sale Brand New? Or are they just the rental units being resold?

Just wondering. Would rather just go to RV instead of trying to get into Wal-Mart for the 235.00 360's.

Anyone have any knowledge or experience?

At some RV this deal has already started. There is a thread in the Hot Deals forum. I tried to use points towards this deal and the guy said no. Requires buying two to get the other free. But you do get to redeem points for the purchase and points if you get gift cards.

Anyone know if they are going to restock Blu Rays by Boxing day?

Just to let everyone know the Blu-ray Deals are definately on, i just came back from picking up Forbidden Kingdon, Wall-E and Kung Fu Panda. Pretty sweet deal cause it came out to like 45 bucks after taxes.

This PP DVD's and BR's are already on at the Rogers Video on Rebecca St. in Oakville. I stopped in tonight to pick up a few last minute gifts and was surprised to see the deal. Just as suprised as the clerk was when I pointed at the signs on the wall for the b1g1 free. There was a full selection of all movies and looked like the wall had not been touched yet.

Usually rogers doesn't have a great selection but this year i went to 3 rogers and both had some killer Blu-rays. Plus the girl was nice enough to shrink wrap it for me to make it look like new.

Using points on 2 BDs to get 1 free did not work for me, since the system says that I was not buying the discs lol.

So I had 50 pts on my card:
a. Use 40, to get two movies
b. Use 40 for 2, then pay 22+ tax
c. Use 40 for 2, pay 30 for GC (thus getting 10 more points for a third disc) then using the GC for a fourth.

Unfortunately, I wasn't thinking and went with option B lol  I'm gonna return the movies, get my refund + points, then re-do everything for option C.

The Wall-E I got was the two-disc set. Grabbed KFP and Dog Day Afternoon as well.

If you're still looking for a cheap 360 system to purchase, you can get a XBox 360 60GB Pro Holiday bundle for $240, taxes in!

Since the Star Rewards promo is still going on, buy a $240 gift card which earns you 80 Star Rewards points (provided you have membership). Buy the 60GB Holiday Pro bundle at $249.99 with taxes ~ $280 total. Redeem the 80 Star Reward Points for $40 of your console purchase (20 points = $10 off) and use the $240 gift card to pay for it! (Note: The staff mentioned you could only redeem a maximum of 100 points for a console)

Managed to get the last one at my local store.

Man, I went into Vic Park and Ellesmere location and most of the new 360 games that are supposed to be on sale weren't even there when the store opened. Not that they had really hot deals, but I figured with Star points, I could have had NHL 09 for 30, which would have been pretty good.

Not true, I just redeemed 120 points for $60 off on a 360 10 minutes ago. Unfortunately almost all the RVs in my area are out of the holiday bundle, only the 360 Pro with no games!

I looked @ 11PM Yesterday at the Roger's Video at Victoria Square in Vancouver and saw Tomb Raider: Underworld and Tom Clancy's Endwar in the preplayed games section. Not sure if they're still there, but something to consider if you want both for $40.

what a BS of a sale.

I went right at store opening and I tried to pickup some of the games (NHL 09 and Raw vs Smackdown) and they didn't have any of those games. They're system went down as well so the CSR couldn't even check availability at other stores!

What a waste of time
