10%?
Hmmm not bad considering it's off everything.
I was Rona West Edmonton today...man it was completely dead.
HD was the same yesterday.
I also noticed no big xmas sales for either store.
What gives!

My honest opinion, I think it's a pretty cold boxing day deal. It might be *okay* for a regular sale, but for boxing day...not so much.
I'd rather spend my time at Canadian Tire, as I'm sure they'll have great deals on their tools (if that's what you're after), even if Mastercraft is of a lesser quality, I believe the lifetime warranty makes up for it. Not all Mastercraft products carry a lifetime warranty, those are the ones I avoid.
Although to be honest, I have a lot of tools, (both power and hand tools), I have only had to use their warranty once, which was very painless.

10% off everything is not bad at all, especially for high end power tools that I've been looking for.

The cheap Medusa-type floor lamp looks like a good deal.
I might pick one up if they take standard bulbs up to at least 50 watts.

HD rather regularly has 20% off power tools. 10% isn't hot.

I MIGHT actually go pick up the 3 seater sun shade swing. For 99 bucks not a bad deal.

I think i am going to go get the Rona Set of 4 18-V Cordless Tools - $98, it seems like a good deal with the reciprocating saw, drill, circular saw, and flashlight. It is hard to find a good deal on a kit with the small circular saws.

Just went there today and picked up the Rona set of 4 18v tools. There is also 10% off on top of it, so it works $88. I don't have any of the tools in the set, so seems like a decent starter. Comes with 2 batteries too.
Any comments on this?
Edit: Was also thinking of the bbq on sale. With the 10% off it works out to about $170, but wasn't sure how good it was so passed on it.
Side note: The place was pretty dead.

And a 1 hour charger as well! Awesome deal with a 3 year warranty for $88!plus taxes. Good god, that crazy! Perfect for a non-contractor where you can easily do 2-3 small-medium renovations and not worry that you didn't get the $500+ Ridgid or Dewalt sets.
