I had the Sharp 46D64U at home and returned it for the Samsung LN46A550. If it hadn't been the Samsung 550 it would have been something else because the picture on the Sharp just didn't cut it even after tinkering with calibration DVD's. The Samsung LN46A550 was a whole different story however. What a great set!

Depends on the deal. If its a doorcrasher, no. Those are considered limited quantities, while supplies last. They WILL NOT PM on December 26,27. So you have to hope all these prices are not doorcrashers but I assume they are.

There are not return, pm,price protection before December 28 so if it's a doorcrasher , just one day or two days sale you can not do the price protection

Probably getting rid of stock. FS/BB are dumb but not stupid. They realize they can get away with murder during boxing day. Many uninformed customers read the flyer, not realizing they are getting older and maybe discontinued products which FS/BB can get cheaper than new products. They buy them in bulk from the manufacturing looking to get rid of stock, mark it up and voila, instant profit. When people start getting more informed about TVs, models and etc, FS/BB would start loosing money. Sadly, people love deals and as long as they see a TV for 300 off, even if its an old model, they will get them. You won't believe how many people bought Magent or some brand from BB during Boxing Week last year. Wonder how they are doing with their TVs.

500 is almost the same as the as 550,which is reduces the contrast rate from 30K to 20K,and less HDMI,only 2 at rear,no side input and output,someone said it was been used old panel of the sumsung ,not sure about this point ,but i think it will be the same as 550.I am still looking for the bestbuy tv offer .If BB still like FS's bad offer.i will take one 500,anyway it cost just alittle bit more than 900 bucks after tax, which is 40 inch TV year 07 product

Thread on AVS forum isn't all that positive from what I recall. I think the 67" sammy LED DLP for 2300 at Bad Boy is your best bang for the buck if you're dying for a 65" display and don't want a HT projector.

I'm sure it's an ok tv but the life span of the panels increased dramatically for the 2008 models (pz80/85/800) and the contrast improved as well. I would put your money into a 2008 model that should keep dropping in price after the Superbowl.

Xbox 360 is the better system for online multiplayer (13 million people on Xbox Live). NBA Live 09 and tons of different racing games are available, and of course there is Halo 3, Gears of War 2, and many other first person shooters out there (which are exclusive to Xbox).

Sony doesn't want to lower the price because they don't have to. The PS3 offers more and warrants the higher price. If you can't initially afford a PS3 I guess you have to get a 360 which is a very valid and understandable statement for those with a budget and want a gaming system who don't need a Blueray Player and built-in wireless networking and don't want to save on the yearly fee to microsoft and play online for free.

I have the RXV-1800 which is equivalent to this but with an extra remote for 2nd room audio. Yes, this thing rocks and I got this last year for $980. So a good deal on the 6190. Dark Knight Blu-Ray with True HD sound is phenomenal on this and it'll rock your house big time!
