isnt the general consensus that TD MIR's are just figments of our imagination?

well, at least it's only a $10 MIR to risk

for those outside of ON, if you can get $99+, you qualify for the $2 s/h

comparison to west prices, NCIX/DC/MH/NXS/TDD are all upwards of $60

i was reading some reviews that the OCZ rebates are really hassle free... so i gave it a shot.

Agreed, I did an OCZ rebate last year with no problems. On the other hand I got burned with a TD rebate a few years ago and will consequently never buy from them again.

is anyone jumping on this for the x61s and x61tablet laptops? Is this considered a really good price and is it good fast ram?

Also, what's better?

OCZ RAM in this thread
Mushkin Notebook 2G SO-DIMM 200-pin PC5300 DDR2-667 2048MB (5-5-5-15)
Mushkin Notebook 2GB SO-DIMM 200-Pin PC5300 DDR2-667 2048MB (4-4-4-12)

I'm not even sure what the timings mean, is 4-4-4-12 better than 5-5-5-15?

Sorry for the questions, but how can I tell if those Mushkin RAM sticks above are compatible with the x61s/x61t thinkpads?

Thanks!

I have done at least 8 or 9 of these rebates this year alone. I have never had a problem with any OCZ product or their rebates. I own this laptop RAM and I paid almost double that price less than a year ago.

Normally I wouldn't endorse a TD MIR, but this one is being mailed out to the same place all the OCZ MIRs get mailed out to:

Mail all of the items to:

OCZ rebates have been reliable (to me at least). I received all of mine (~ 4) over the past year or so. They did take quite a bit of time (3 months+) ...

TD .......$64.34 - $10 = $54.34

kind of omitting the $20 dollar shipping there.. after shipping its $76.74 - 25USD rebate = $46.25... so very similar.

I was going to Markham store but when I double check the price, they changed price to $59-$10mir, so not worth the trip anymore.

I was looking at eBay, and found a Samsung 4G kit for $30USD and 2G for 16USD, no rebate to deal with. Free shipping to Canada. Also, if you have the paypal $10 off coupon, it would be better.

Can anyone confirm this is good for Lenovo X61s? Thanks.
