Hey guys I am thinking of buying a TV tuner with ORBlive apps so I can watch my satellite TV live on my iphone.

The problem is my desktop is like 40 feet away from my satellite reciever, I do not kow how these TV tuners work, I am hoping there is a bluetooth/wifi connections?

Please advise.

TV Tuners have inputs similar to a regular TV (i.e. yellow video in, cable tv in)
You can use any of these connectors from the output of your satellite box to connect your satellite box to your TV and then stream using Orb's software. Not sure how Orb works because I've never tried it myself.

In your case you'll probably have to run a long 40ft cable from the output of your satellite receiver to your TV Tuner.
I've never heard of a TV Tuner with bluetooth or wifi connections. Even if it did have those, your satellite box wouldn't so you wouldn't be able to connect that way.

Also keep in mind, with this setup, you'll only be able to watch whatever channel your satellite box is tuned to. If you're looking for a way to change channels without being physically at your house, you may want to look into a DVB satellite PCI card. It might be a bit tricky to get it to work with Orb though.
I hope you're not trying to do this for Dishnetwork though since it's slowly switching to new encryption. I'm assuming all of this was info for Free-to-Air, unencrypted satellite.

Hope that helps~
