Hey guys,

I was on a Rogers plan for 3 years. I used it about 2 years and 8 months and then I took off travelling. I took all the extras off my plan and just paid off the remaining for 4 months. I was still going to be travelling for an additional 3 months, but currently wasn't on a contract. I was put on a seasonal/emergency plan for $12 a month. I don't know what this plan entailed but basically I was under the impression I'd be paying $12 just to keep my account in good standing so when I came back I could renegotiate a good deal.

Well I've since returned and my phone fully works. I don't know if this means I'm going to have to pay for the calls I'm making or if it has just slipped through the cracks. Anyone know what this seasonal/emergency plan is?

The seasonal plan that is a flat rate of $12 is a plan with no minutes. You can still use the phone, but you will be charged about $0.50 a minute, I believe.
There's a similar, more common plan at $15.45 including saf/911 that gives 40 minutes a month, but still $0.50 a minute over. I would say don't use the phone without changing your plan first.

The thread title is misleading , you A) Never Cancelled your plan, so please apolgise to us for giving us false information. You Downgraded your plan to a cheapest level because B) your cheap and dont want to spend more money on it because your travelling, and C) you want to resume service when you get back and keep your existing number so you don't loose it.

Why couldn't you tell us this in the first place but no you have to beat arround the bush and give us excuses??
