How do you unwrap your presents?

Christmas is here and it's the season of giving!

If you get a wrapped present, how do you unwrap it? Do you go postal and shred the wrapping? Or are you a meticulous surgeon that dissects each piece of tape?

(I'm the latter...somehow the delay makes the present sweeter :cheesygri)

I go slowly too, much more enjoyable that way. The kids go nuts because I take so long, since they are so excited to be giving.

OP may want to add this to the Thread/Poll, who reads the Cards? This is the only time I don't/give one with it.

Very carefully so the entire wrapping paper is preserved. Then I smooth it out and fold it neatly. Then I put it in the recycling or if it's really nice I put it in a box with other nice paper.

Why don't I just rip it apart? I don't know :cry:

I'm the slowest un-wrapper ever. I don't know why. I'm not saving the wrapping for re-gifting. It just hurts me to shred it open.

I don't go barbaric on the wrap but I certain have no intention on keeping the wrapping paper. So I just try to find the seams and tear it from there slowly

My thoughts exactly, lol..I've done that a couple times (but only when the wrapping paper was reallllly nice)

But seriously, lol, it makes it easier to clean up if you unwrap it carefully

I just tear it apart. I don't keep the wrapping paper anyway, and it is meant to be destroyed, so I just rip through it. It is what is on the inside that counts.
