Will ringing 2009 be a bash or bust?

2008 is winding down and with the economic crisis how big will the party be to start 09? I remember working many New Year Eve's in the past in hotels and everytime the economy was bad people went crazy on New Years Eve. It seemed the worse the times the harder people partied.

So what will the year end bash be like this year?

I predict bigger than normal attendence.

With a down year, people are looking for any reason to party, and New Year's is as good as any to do it.

Assuming you aren't going to a bar for expensive liquor and beer, heading down to Nathan Phillips for a massive party is the cheapest and most fun thing most people will be able to do.

Prohibition ended during the depression, so maybe they'll be legalizing pot soon. That should cheer some folks up. :lol:
