Hey guys, I've been on Rogers for a long time (4+ years) and haven't upgraded my phone once. I really need a new phone and I'm being charged way too much right now. I want to get a phone + plan with email, and preferably data (although I don't need a lot).

Do you think it is best to remain "loyal" to Rogers and try to get a retention plan and an upgraded phone? Or are there better deals to be had elsewhere?

I don't need a tonne of minutes, but I do need an SMS plan, and preferably VM + CID. As I see it these are my main options:

Rogers

Blackberry (probably a Bold) with the $15 email plan, the $50 BB plan, or the $25 data added on to a retention voice plan

iPhone with the $60 iPhone plan or the $25 data added on to a retention voice plan

Bell

HTC Touch with the $10 unlimited data plan (Is this still being offered?)

Blackberry with the $45 plan

HTC Touch Pro - Is this worth it considering I can get a better data plan on the "regular" touch?

Thanks everyone in advance for any advice
Am I likely to get a better deal from Bell than I can get through Rogers retentions?

I would personally jump to bell and get the touch pro. See if it fits your pocket for a month. If it does, then run with it, and get a data plan (you cant get the 10$ plan with it if im not mistaken).

Loyalty is nothing with rogers.

What are the advantages in going with the Touch Pro, considering data would be a lot more expensive?
