Right now, I have a HTC Touch Diamond from Rogers, but I'm thinking of returning it because Windows Mobile is almost unusable. The email client is sooo slow, the interface is sluggish, and the phone crashes occasionally.
Is it worth returning the Diamond for the Blackberry Bold?
Is the Blackberry Bold a better device in terms of features, usability, etc?
Your opinion would be appreciated
Thanks:D

It really depends on what you need the phone for on top of making calls?
Is the calender important to you? e-mail? games? 3rd party apps ?

I would honestly just stick with the Diamond. I am personally waiting for the tough Pro (any ideas when it will be out with rogers? If ever? not meaning to thread jack btw).
Bold is more friendly, but if u like the diamond and its functions, head over to XDA develupers (just google it) and you will find huge amounts of extras that you can add to the diamond, making it much more usable.
Bottem line: If your the average joe, and not too tech savy, jump to the bold, other wise, Diamond should be great.

I've used winmo, and I hate it. the diamond isn't too bad, but winmo is slow, buggy, and you need a stylus for a lot of the menus and stuff when you aren't using the touchflo interface.
yeah, winmo is popular, and there are a lot of applications for it, but most of them are useless, and/or you have to pay for them.
I just got the bold, and it's a very nice phone. It's the fastest phone I've ever played with (I've played with every rogers phone out), the screen is amazing, the keyboard is nice, and the interface is pretty good as well.
I think I might keep it until the n97 comes out in a NA version.
Try to find someone with a bold, and see if you can play with it for a bit, like just going through menus, doing email, browser, etc.

How much better though??
I've had the phone for 4 months (with Telus) and I have so far had the phone lock up to the point where I've had to take the backing off and take the battery out to reboot it.... at least 30+ times.

touchflo is so slow its a joke
xda mods can help a bit, but unless you are a kid and need the flashy interface I would go with the Bold without question...
winmo without that stupid interface is decent especially for Exchange/ActiveSync, but the Bold is a far superior device.. really responsive and amazing to type on

too many freezes on Win Mobile devices. not much better on the BB side with poor sync, freezes there too. I think if you are tech savvy you got to go win MO and live with freezing.

If it wasn't for a third party rom my telus diamond would be in a dumpster right now.
If you want a fast, stable rom with better battery life use Juicy's 3.9
He has 4.x out but 3.9 was perfect with no bugs so I stuck with it.

flash the rom http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=42515
FOR CDMA only (Bell/Telus)
I am very happy with my diamond now.
