I've read in some threads that some people have gotten miswritten tickets and had it thrown away. Here is my situation, what can be done?

My brother was out with some friends at a friends house (there was no parking space left in the driveway) and they parked on the street infront of the house. When they were leaving the house they saw a ticket in the windshield. What end up happening was my brother got my friend's ticket and my friend got my brother's ticket. Would we still have to pay the fine (even thought WE know the tickets were placed on the wrong cars)? We could play 'dumb' and say we didn't know each other.

If i get a letter from the town and fight the ticket what would happen if i said we got a ticket but the ticket has a different make/model/plate number?

TIA

1) Go to court
2) File for trial
3) Say that it was placed on your vehicle but that isnt your vehicle's info
4) Profit

LOL. That's interesting.

Umm...However I'm thinking. Say I got a ticket and I gave it to my friend to go to court. My friend just have to say he found this on his windshield and it's not for his car Bla Bla..Would he be able to get it thrown out.

Normally if the license plate number written on the ticket matches the make, model and description of the car on the ticket, the justice will not throw out the ticket. Like another poster already stated, this prevents people from having their friends show up with the ticket claiming it doesn't match their car.

What are the chances that the meter maid wrote up a ticket for the wrong car, yet the license plate number matches the description of the car. In all likelihood, the justice is going to accuse you of being deceitful.
