I just had one of the worst services in history with this dealership. They have seriously gone downhill. I have been going to them to get my cars done since 96 and i recently took in an older van '95 quest to get the oxygen sensors fixed as the check engine light came on. I was 90% certain it was this problem because i had recently gotten the fuel injectors fixed on this vehicle in july 08 and usually check engines lights refer to fuel mixtures etc.

Anyhow i get the call from them with the diagnosis and they said the o2 sensor is fried and will need to be replaced *no problem what i expected*. Then they added that all the injectors need to be replaced to bringing it to a total of 2400. Here i'm like say wha? Of course i said no as the vehicle is 95 and not worth $2400.

So i go pick up the vehicle today and while driving it home all of a sudden i get none other then the obvious fuel injector symptoms which were never there before. Called back to complain but get the usual answer, come in and we'll talk.

Quite frankly i'm fed up with this dealership that i'll just go there to rant at them that i've been with them for 12 yrs and no complaints till today. They pretty much have lost me as a longtime customer for life now.

STAY WELL AWAY RFD'ers

Just out of curiosity is it possible for a fuel injector to go bad in 2000km?

Did you only have the injectors replaced and nothing else? For a car of that age, did you also check the fuel filter, pump, pressure regulator, relays & hoses? Some components in the fuel system may have worn out and give symptons that seem like the injectors have gone.

This is exactly why I do not deal with stealerships. They try and always rip you off. I took my car to an Infiniti dealership earlier this summer, and they wanted me to spend $700 on a throttlebody replacement for my car. Anyhow, after searching online for some tips, and doing several ECU resets, the problem dissapeared, even though Infiniti/Nissan's high end CONSULT tool didn't fix it. They are all FULL OF IT.

Yes I got the fuel injectors done in July and also the Fuel Rails.

According to their diagnostic in July and the other day there was nothing wrong with the filter, pump, pressure regulator, relay or hoses. They clearly stated on the print out that the ONLY problem was the fuel injector and the o2 sensor.

You can take it to another shop (not dealer) to get a second opinion.
Don't make any suggestion, let them check it out themselves, see if they come to the same conclusion.

Woodchester is one of the worst dealerships i have ever been to for service when I use to own a I35 and then a G35. Not only are services prepackaged in a way that goes way beyond what the manual calls for (a typical nissan dealership thing) they once left the engine oil cap off the G and if it wasn't for me filling up the windshield washer fluid (something they failed to do), i would have ran the car dry as oil was spattered all over the engine bay.

No apologies or anything for the mishap too. Thankfully that car was leased. After 8 years of crap service for the two cars I switched to 2 Acuras in the household that's serviced at Erin Mills. Its way more professional than woodchester ever was. only thing i miss is the VQ engine but honestly my G's interior was total garbage compare to the Acuras. Still have a Honda Pilot in the family that goes to Mississauga Honda and i can honestly say that dealership has very poor service too.

well if i took it to another shop to get a 2nd opinion they'll say there's a clear issue with the fuel injectors now as I KNOW there's a problem now with the injectors. The symptoms are pretty evident and clear.

PRIOR to bringing the car into woodchester, i never had any symptoms of injector issues. Just an o2 sensor.

Yeah I had a crappy service there too. I recently took my G35 to them for servicing. Which was supposed to be an oil change only. It took them 4 hrs to get it done and this was on a Thursday!!

When I got there in the morning I was told it would only take an hr or so. After 1 hr goes by my car is still outside. I mentioned this to the guy who took my keys when I arrived. He told me they had a backlog a lot of cars came in... the only thing is though I came in around 7:45am! There were only 4 cars in the parking lot when I arrived and 2 in the bay. Now its around 9am and of course the lot is near full.

I told them to drop me off at work and then pick me up when the car is ready. They had no problem with this... it wasn't until around 11:30 that they called and said that while changing my oil they noticed that my brakes need replacing. Firstly I was impressed they were even checking my brakes even though it wasn't part of my workorder.

The guy was pushing me to agree over the phone to get the brakes replaced. He quoted me 2250 for brakes and rotors... I flipped, here I am coming in for a basic oil change and now they are trying to upsell me for something that I know I don't need.

Later when I came to get the car they tried to force me to pay 50 bucks for spending time checking my brakes! I told them I'm not paying for it as it wasn't written in my workorder and I never once requested the service.

A month later I took the car to a shop near me which came highly recommended by people living in my neighborhood to get my winter tires switched and I asked him to check my brakes. He told me I easily have a year left on them depending on the mileage I put on and the rotors are perfectly fine.

haha funny, they did that to me too, quoted me over $2000 for replacing all 4brake pads + rotors ( not sure if replace or resurface) but i declined since the lease was almost up. I know the G is fast but i'm the type that coasts to a red light whenever possible... its just their to upsell. I remember a couple times their service packages includes "engine shampoo" cause i was told " Nissan's connectors can get dirty", lol,

After reading the comments posted above i felt I had to share my experiences with Woodchester Nissan and there service and sales departments. Last summer I purchased a 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe 2.5s from a great younger sales guy. He was fantastic. I have since taken the car back for service. The car now has just under 30k on it and it has been one of the best cars I have ever owned.

I have never been upsold or pushed at the service counter. Everyone I have dealt with there is respectful, fair and honest. It is disappointing to hear that so many of you have had poor experiences there because mine thus far has been outstanding. I think that many of you, much like me become frustrated when things take a little longer than anticipated, but is this really a reason to trash a business online?

Service departments at dealers always have issues. My father had a terrible experience with Roberts Volvo after being a client there for 20 years he switched to BMW thinking that because of the “luxury” aspect of the brand the service would be better. Not the case. The service advisors at both Maranello and BMW of Mississauga were rude and condescending even while the cars were under warranty.

My experience with Woodchester easily ranks above the other dealers I have dealt with. Booking appointments tends to speed things up no matter where you go and if you don’t make one why would you complain?

If your car is out of warranty why are you taking it to an OEM dealer anyway? Brakes at a dealership? Part of owning a vehicle is understanding how and where to service it. A fifteen year old quest at a dealer for service? And you complain about the costs?? OEM dealer = OEM parts unless you state otherwise. dealers are always more expensive than independents.

First post digging an old thread, just to defend the stealership? I would run away fast :)

That's exactly what I was thinking... he probably works at the dealership. At least it brought the thread back and more people can read the complaints that didn't the first time around.

Since Dec I took my car again to the dealership for another oil change and a break servicing. Everything went well except for the same issue of how damn long it took.

This time things went a little differently, I left the car in the morning and took off to Toronto with the family. I told the service guy to call me at least 2 hrs before it was ready so I could make it back to pick it up.

They close at around 4 so when 3:30 came around and I hadn't gotten a call I took the initiative to call them. The guy said my car was still being looked at and won't be done until 4:15 or 4:30. I asked him when was he planning on calling me and telling me this. He didn't have an answer, lol he was just mumbling something about being really busy that day.

I told him that since he didn't call me and I'm pretty far away its going to take some time for me to get to the dealership. He said he would wait for me as they would have been closed Sunday.

I didn't end up getting there until 6 and there he was sitting all by himself waiting for me. lol he was grumpy that I made him wait but I told him now you know what your customers feel like. I asked him honestly how can a dealership take 6 hrs to do an oil change and service my breaks? That's just pathetic.

Oh and according to the technician who worked on my breaks I still have about 50% of my pads left so I don' tneed to change my breaks for a long time.

i find it a little crazy that so many of you lack the knowledge and understanding of how dealers work.

i work in the automotive business and have worked in dealers in the past. you guys must know that dealers especially service take much longer than advertised to complete work.

i have had nothing but positive thing to say about this store (bought and serviced there). I deal with Ashley in the service department and she always takes great care of me. Wouldnt it be nice though if we all posted issues from your respective places of business and your own clients, which surely get frustrated occasionally?

Everybody has horror stories from service. thats service. Woodchester is closest to my house so i deal with them, my experiences were positive so i posted here.

I don't think all dealers advertise a certain time, and then it takes hours longer. That shouldn't be "expected". And you realize you're just resurrecting a dead thread, and thus allowing everyone to read the bad experiences they've had? And the fact that you have only 2 posts, and both of them in defense of a dealership, makes everyone suspicious?

suspicious? sure i have two posts. but this thread still pops up on google dead or active so what difference does it make?

Its still up there for everyone to read and realistically makes no difference to me. im responding to the posts that pertain to mine. it should be expected though that service for your vehicle sometimes takes longer than you want.

just thought since i saw the thread i would share my positive experiences, good bad or otherwise, this is the place we can do that right?

when i have a bad experience i will surely post about that one to. maybe you would prefer if i want to make a post that i start a new thread?
