What do you think guys? Just curious, I though it would be Chevy Tahoe, Chevy Suburban, Cadillac Escalade, Chrysler 300C, Ford Crown Victoria/Mercury Grand Marquis. Do you think it's cool to drive something like these?

All of those cars listed are ugly, slow, uncool and worst of all they're American. I wouldn't be caught dead in one of those.

you either make a horrible drug dealer or mafia guy.
or.
you're putting up a front and you secretly own all these cars because you're a drug dealer or mafia guy.

I love those big gas guzzlers.
My family used to own a 95 Chevy Caprice, black colored, all of my neighbours called us drug dealers:cheesygri

To be honest I 100% agree with skidz88; I would not buy/drive one of those vehicles for all the exact same reasons as he stated.
Edit: An emphasis on the "American" part. I'll buy Japanese or European thank you very much.

Japanese and Europeans don't produce much giganic full size SUVs, and their stuff are mostly unibody, which don't have much advantage during an police chase.
In terms of sedans, mafia cars have to have a huge trunk to fit many cadevers, cars with huge trunk can hardly be found in import cars. Even cars like BMW 7, Audi A8 and Nissan Altima whose trunk are reasonably big, still small compare to a Crown Vic or Chevy Caprice.

i think drug dealers would prefer to have a hyundai accent. This way, they slip by everyone's eyesight and you'll go unnoticed ... or perhaps a pontiac aztek..

Giganic full size SUVs are mostly Body-on-frame, which is more durable and solid than unibody SUVs. In an off-road chase they do have advantages over cop cruisers.

Okay, body-on-frame suv's are more durable than uni-body suv's but how often do you see off-road chases? I think you have been watching too much tv/movies - most police chases take place on highways and residential roads therefore sports cars will out-perform ANY suv.

Wow I didn't read your thread...sorry.
See we have some agreements though:
Chrysler 300C AWD 5.7L HEMI V8
Cadillac Escalade
Lincoln Navigator
GMC Yukon
Chevrolet Tahoe
Audi A8
Lincoln Navigator isn't bad, but would be preferred by yankee diplomats.
GMC Yukon I though would be for farmers. Audi A8...emm, maybe for european mafia:cheesygri:cheesygri

Nope an Accent or Corolla would be smart because they don't get 1 mpg like those giganic suv's you're talking about - so they'll be saving money.

Are you guys for real?
FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL, the Mafia is a criminal society composed of ITALIAN people, and people of italian descent (in North America). "Asian mafia"? What's that?? Call it by its proper name
That being said, the most stereotypical car in the USA and Canada during the 70's, 80's, and 90's was the Sedan DeVille, and the Fleetwooda close second... younger people may know the Sedan DeVille as Cadillac DTS (DeVille Touring Sedan).

You also need a large car inwhich to conduct business. Guys doing big deals are not going to want to squeeze into a toy car and ruffle their suits

You fanboys are hilarious. This is a topic about selecting the ideal car for mafia and drug dealers. Everybody knows they have that stereotype when it comes to cars.
But no, you guys have to turn it into an "IMPORTZ VS DUMBESTICS" magazine race. I'm willing to say that there is a fairly good chance that SkylineGTR doesn't actually own a Skyline GTR, and skidz88 doesn't have a car at all (the 88 is a giveaway), so this makes them fanboys. It's good as long as it's not a dumbestic, right? No matter what, right? Beige Corollas would be a better choice!
Now, I prefer imports as much as the next guy, but fanboyism makes me laugh.

Those large cars are pretty awesome (the Tahoes, Escalades, and 300Cs). I am no american fanboy, but these aren't meant to be sports cars...they are big and comfortable.
Russian Mafia have 7-Series Beemers and S-class Mercs.

I would not consider the Escalade or 300c slow in my books. Considering the Escalades weight it's pretty quick and is one of, if not the best looking SUV on the market.
2008 Escalade without a rev build up. (Edmunds.com)
0 - 60 (sec): 7.5
1/4 Mile (sec @ mph): 15.8 @ 87.9 I know its hard to believe its quicker than your car!
To be fair these are the lowest numbers i could find for the Escalade.
The Mafia has alway's been into the higher end Caddilac's and Mercedes large 4 door sedan's. That is what A&E tells me anyway.

Boy are you ever wrong. What does my age have to do with anything?
I'll entertain you though. If I was a mobster I'd have an Alpina B7 or S8. It's not really about imports vs domestics. If domestic car makers actually made something worth buying to the average person, I'm sure they wouldn't be begging for gov't money right now.

A Mercedes S-Class is a proper mafia car. SUVs and the like are for the low-level dealers usually, no?

I think they all prefer any car/suv with BIG trunk space ... for some unknown (known) reasons !!
I think the space is needed to carry BIG item(s) ...

Maybe.
But I thought Mercedes S-class cars are just business vehicles for the mafia bosses to go out for meetings/conferences, it's not a serious battle vehicle for road crossfires, though I did see a lot of them in movies such as "Analyze that II (by Robert de Niro)". They are too expensive to purchase and also too expensive to repair after a road battle or chasing crash, it's impractical for every mafia member to own one.
Mafia/drug dealer vehicles suppose to be reasonably priced full size SUV/trucks or large sedans that are very solid, can take some ramming and hit without breaking the frame; lots of space for business and cargo storage; body-on-frame construction that allows easy, cheap repair and also possess robustness/ruggedness. The gas mileage is not much of an important factor.

As far as I know russian mafia prefers Europeans & Japanese SUVs, i.e. BMW X5 or Toyota Land Cruiser. I don't know how robust and rugged they are compare to giganic American muscles. Anyway, recently BIG 3 are undergoing a financial blizzard and their big SUVs/trucks are dying in the showroom, maybe mafia and drug dealers can help them out, providing that they are patriotic and loyal to North American markets and won't switch to imports.

I thought all the bosses of the mafia's drove like BMW 7s or Merc S's.
Thats what im told anyways.
But,
This is how the Yakuza roll, and this is not from hearsay.
1. Never travel with one car, always travel with 2+ cars.
2. All black no exception.
3. BMW or Merc, no exception.
4. Always in black suits.
Yakuza is a fear and respected Japanese gang, they arn't like american gangs because they do not need to intimidate their victims.
BTW Yakuza bosses always travel in convoy, and they are usually the ones in the S-Class.
Also there is no Triads, its been disbanded and it no longer exists. But people still call it the Triads.
