Is the new shape Nissan Pathfinder any good, I have a 99 Pathfinder now and had it for 5 years and haven't had a single problem with it in all that time. What about the new one? Is it good and reliable, good on gas, enough room etc?

It's reliability is just about average. Engine and stuff are good, I heard some stuff about brakes, suspension, and some interior bits. Other than that it is ok...my parents were looking at it when they were buying an SUV.

What kinda pathfinder do you have. 4 or 2wd. I would
stick with 99 pathfinder or If your gonna buy new one get from 01-04. I'm Currently driving 02 pathfinder. Which has never haven me a problem. Plus the newer ones look so big and ugly compared the old ones. Only problem for pathfinder that i know of it that its a gas guzzler.

Is there a reason why you need to upgrade?

Looked at it back in 05 when it was brand new. I looked at a lot of anecdotal feedback, because that was all the info that was available. In the segment, I thought the 4Runner was a better truck at the time, and I don't think that has changed, but that's more personal preference than statistical comparison.

And yes, if your 99 is treating you well, I see little reason to upgrade, other than style.
