saw it in the Vancouver downtown store (Burrard at Georgia)
on the price tag it says promotion expires Dec 9, 08.
I didn't mark down the model number but it *should* be http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/cat_sku.asp?CatIds=&webid=716698&affixedcode=WW because it seems like the only cheap acer 24" i found on their website.

It says OOS online but at that particular store there was at least one on display.

I wouldn't say its hot because its acer, but 24" under $300 seems like a good start?

This is ok if you can apply 2x$20 coupons.
What could be a filler for $0.01 ?

huh? huge difference...

res difference: 1920x1200 vs. 1680x1050
pixel difference: 2304000 vs. 1764000 (31% more pixels)
viewable screen area (approx): 258.85 inches^2 vs. 179.77 inches^2 (44% increase in area).

Massive difference when you look at pixels/area. I went from 20 to a 30" 2560x1600, ill never go to anything smaller.

holy smokes... well if you have a 30" then you'd be sitting some distance back from your monitor.... otherwise you'd go blind

Why? If the pixel pitch is similar, the font size isn't going to change much. I don't know about you, but if I read a paperback vs a large 'coffee table' book, I don't hold the large book out with my arms extended when reading it.

How do you do 2x$20 coupons?? I thought you couldnt stack coupons that are the same..

so use 2x different coupons that meet the min. requirements (eg. 2 x "$20 off $150")

And make sure that the first 5 digits are different for the 2 coupons to avoid rejection and wasting the coupon codes.

Too bad it's not a Samsung, or else would jump on it right away.
